There are champs who go unlayed for the longest time and then one persn plays him ad now he is the greatest thing ever like Graves. It could also be because everyone just got nerfed. There are others like Sejuani who have always been stupid strong but no one played her so it was fine but as soon as they are played hey get nerfed. When was the last time Sejuani or Graves got buffed? I couldn't tell you.

Darth Valer1 votesI don't like the way "meta" and "popularity" is mixed and confused in this game (there might be unpopular champs who are in meta, and popular picks which are played for other reasons than actual adherence to the meta). Graves, though, became overplayed after Lucian's last nerfs (they have similar kits). Sejuani was buffed not long ago and has recently acquired a new instrument with Cinderhulk.
