Surrendering before 7 mins?

Really? I go on leave for two weeks and come back, now we're able to surrender at the beginning of the game? I waited 15 mins to get in a lobby another 5 for the the game to load. a 20 min wait then the enemy team surrendered at like 3 minutes. come to find out if they surrender in a ranked game at 3 minutes i get no lp because the game didnt last 7 minutes. thanks riot for wasting about 23 mins of my life. I understand if it wasnt a full game maybe I shouldnt get full lp but a win is a win, either set the surrender option to 7 mins so i can "earn my win" or at least give reduced lp to the winning team... anything is better than wasting about 23 mins of my life then giving nothing in return...

it was a remake because someone was DC'd at the start of the game, for at least 90 seconds, at 3 minutes.

I imagine this is a troll post, but I like to at least provide a reasonable response in the case that it is not.

Thanks for your answer. I wasn't trolling, I just didn't know that a player had to be afk. Now that I do know I'm less mad, but still having 23 minutes wasted for all the other players doesn't really seems that great either.... I'd feel much better inside with knowledge that the "afk" person was at least banned for a while...

the receive full LP loss and are marked as a "leaver" by the leaver-buster system, one game wont' be a big deal but if it happens more they could receive bans, if that makes you feel better.

as a side note; the person who has DC'd must not have left AFTER first blood was scored against them; if they were gone before it was, then a remake is still allowed if first blood is scored. Essentially, if someone rage quits early because someone died to an invade, or similar, then a remake isn't allowed.

If they surrendered before the 3 minute mark, then they had an afk for 90 seconds and didn't want to risk an almost guaranteed loss due to a 4v5. It's called a remake(you would know this if you looked at the patch notes). "Losing" side loses nothing, except for the afker, "winning" side wins nothing, because they earned squat. But pardon me if I would rather end the game early when it isn't fair, rather than wasting 20 more minutes just to fight the inevitable.

Note, this only can happen if first blood has not been scored.

"A win is a win"...oh yes, also when your team has 2 fucking leavers that never connect to the game??? This is sport not just a game...finally riot did something for all the fukcing leavers you have outside.
