does ahri's damage amp work on the true damage her q applies?

^ i thought i read or heard somewhere that true damage does not get amplified by anything

True damage doesn't increase in any way except by the abilities own scaling. Her Q's true damage shouldn't increase by her charm amp unless its bugged. Apparently it does increase though which is weird and is inconsistent with how true damage has been changed to work in the past.

But it wouldn't really make sense if she had her main ability preventing her from using her own amp mechanic though..

It's only inconsistent if the champ was somehow buffing true damage that didn't came from their kit like what poppy/swain/talon were doing with summoner 14 years ago.

Ahris charm previously did and was designed to increase her damage from q. The true damage as well. I'm assuming them reverting her kit (kinda) means they left the true damage increase in intentionally.

Iirc, it did when she used to have it on a previous iteration of her kit, so I'm pretty sure it still does now, though it's definitely something worth testing. The thing with true damage is that it's supposed to be impossible to modify, but that rule has been broken many times in the past, including with Mountain Drake affecting true damage done to objectives. In most cases, true damage cannot get modified, but this might just be one of its several exceptions.
