Here is a list of all the abbreviations and slang that gets thrown around in the game that many new players are unaware of:

AA - Auto-attack. The generic attack every champion uses where they right click an enemy in order to damage them. ADC - Attack Damage Carry. Marksman champions who dish out consistent damage through auto attacks and deal physical damage. APC - Ability Power Carry. Mages/assassins who deal a majority of their damage through their abilities and deal magic damage. Backdoor - When one champion sneaks past the enemy team and attempts to take down towers, inhibitors and nexus while the enemy is unaware of their absence. BG - Bad Game. Usually spoken as a game is ending. A form of disgust in how the game played out. CC - Crowd Control. Any status debuff that negatively impacts the control of a champion. Dom - Dominion. An alternative game mode with teams of 5. It is similar to the game "King of the Hill" but with 5 hills to hold. Drag - Dragon. A strong jungle monster who, when slain, gives the entire team a slight advantage as well as gold income. GG - Good game. Usually spoken as a game is ending. Meta - The recommended/typical way of doing things MR - Magic resistance. The best defense against magic based damage. Splitpush - When you kill the enemy minions **SR **- Summoners Rift. The default map the game is played on. Teams of 5 are used on this map. TT - Twisted Treeline. An alternative game mode. Teams of 3 play this map. URF - Riot's manatee mascot. Also stands for Ultra Rapid Fire, which was a temporary game mode with shortened cool downs, faster cast times and unlimited mana.

Currently a work in progress. My hope is that Riot pins this to the top of the page in order to help new players get a quick and concise explanation of what certain words and phrases mean in game so that it makes learning the game that much easier.

It is incomplete, I am aware. I am going to bed now. Feel free to reply on here and add in any stuff I omitted. I will not be adding in champion nicknames/abbreviations but item abbreviations will be taken into account on this list.

Splitpush - Pushing a side lane (top lane or bottom lane) alone and away from your team in hopes of taking towers without the enemy team stopping you.

Missing "ARAM" and your "Splitpush" definition is incorrect/incomplete. Nice idea though.

Bro...who the hell needs to know about dominion? ROFL you put that in there like if you dont know what Dom means it will effect your ability to communicate in league... FIRST IVE HEARD IT, and it hasnt effected a thing, because dominion is even less important than twisted treeline..OOPS my bad "TT"

Needs to know, and Urf shouldn't be in the same sentence.
