Who the heck surrenders at 20 in a bot game?

Just played on a smurf account where I was hard carrying my team. I was split pushing while my teammates were collectively 9/49/14 (Karthus bot was super fed). I was 34/2/5 and was halfway to taking out the 2nd inhibitor when they push through with a surrender vote because they tried to kill baron and failed because Karthus ulted and got a triple kill. We were ahead of the bots since they hadn't taken any of our inhibitors. But because they were feeding hard I had to take the loss. That was such a frustrating game to play.

As you yourself said, you were smurfing. You were playing with inexperienced players, and thus it is unfair to hold them to the same standard you would hold yourself and your peers.

you....you were 'hard carrying' in a bot game??

Well, let's see. You were playing with new players that weren't good and abandoning them. So they were left to fight alone. Who in the hell would want to play like that? I bet if you had actually used your "smurfing" ability to teamfight and just push inhibs after the ace, your team wouldn't have fed so hard and would have had a more enjoyable experience....thus not surrendering. You were the ONLY one appearing to have fun in that game, so why wouldn't they want to surrender? Having fun > having a horrible time and winning just because of one guy...ESPECIALLY in a stupid bot game.

You are smurfing. It is a tradeoff. Stick to PvP if you want easier games. Atleast there the competition is just as incompetent as your teammates.

You were smurfing, so you can't expect your teammates to actually be good. I remember when I thought Miss Fortune Bot was unstoppable and there was nothing I could do about it.

Karthus is pretty brutal for newbies to face. He only ults when he knows a kill is possible. I can recall a game when I was just starting out where I was starting to back behind my turret. I see the channel from the Karthus ulted show up and think if I do not move I can make it back before this kills me. Nope, ashe arrow from across the map stuns me and Karthus gets the kill. I was so mad at the time.

While I understand what people are saying about these being new players, HOW THE HELL DID THEY FIND THE SURRENDER BUTTON? I didn't know it existed/didn't use it until I understood how the voting system worked after others used it enough.

I remember playing with a friend aganist advanced bots once.

When enemy Cassio got fed and basically 1v3 us, we had to pick up our jaws from the floor.

I can see why people would surrender bots games.

  • This is a pretty accurate representation of my attempts to climb out of Silver after the ranked resets. [zombie-brand-facepalm]

Bots were hard once. There are plenty of pessemistic people out there, and new players especially don't have a good sense about when they're losing or winning a game. Heck, I've had people die twice in lane and afk because they don't see how the game can be won in Silver.
