Backtrack and bans are being removed from ARAM, which is a huge bummer.

It sucked not getting some of my favorite champs but I started having a lot more fun with the mode as of late. Hopefully Riot reinstates the bans and/or just makes every champion unlocked in the mode.

Even with dynamic balancing, ARAM accounts still have an unbelievable advantage and it ruins the spirit of the mode.

Yeah I'm gonna miss that stuff. Not having to deal with multiple artillery mages each game was nice.

I don't care about the bans.

They could easily destroy every aram account by making all champs available to all people when playing aram.

I think removing the bans was a terrible decision. They should do something about the ARAM-only accounts. If you don't ban Maokai you can practically guarantee they will pick him.

What we really need is a way to tell the game which champions we like to play so that they get randomized for us, and not our entire champion pool. Like a mastery page but for champion randomization. That way the playing field is leveled. We get increased chance of Kassadin/Sivir/Nocturne or whatever champion we like taking against Maokai or whatever champions they want be safer against.

At first I disliked backtrack a lot, but I got used to it after a while. Barrier's pretty good though so I'm not terribly disappointed by them bringing barrier back.

honestly having every champ available is better answer than bans. you can't ban away your problems.

A lot of people in this thread are intelligent enough to realize that Aram-specific accounts are a problem for Aram. Some are intelligent enough to recognize that bans helped to mitigate this problem, but didn't fix it entirely. A few are intelligent enough to realize that to fix the problem at the root would mean put the ALL in ALL RANDOM, instead of "Champs you own and free rotation champs Random". Hmmm, kind of funny that the obvious solution, the 2 to the 1+1, is to actually unlock all champions for the game mode. Truth be told, I think riot game would rather not help Aram grow since it takes players away from the stinking turd of matchmaking hell that is ranked play. The ranked player base is dwindling, and anything that takes players away from it will only help to snowball the shitfest going on there. Riot better hope their next game is a hit, otherwise they can go the way of the dodo for all i care. Oh, I know, why don't you set the certaints of the riot game company on the task? Put your brightest heads into it. I'm sure you'll come up with something MONDO cool. Like the next battle royale game or something.

The bans don't fix anything, it is a bandaide at best. Half the champs that people are whining about are barely 50% win rates. Pyke is aweful in ARAM and really easy to counter. Half the bans I see are to champs people just have personal peeves against and are not even top tier. You learn how to play around those champs and they are not the real problem. Sona and ziggs are not pushing 70% win rates anymore, but still hovering around 60% which is better, but they didn't touch any of the mechanics that are broken on them. Sion is still tearing down ARAM towers like they were paper.

The bans are not the answer. They just need to open all champs for ARAM. If I were to make an ARAM account, there are far more champs that dominate ARAM than the bans, and after their weird tweaks there are some new problems.

Keep working on the tweaks as they partially worked.

Now I have to deal with STINKING Anivia again? After tasting freedom for a while, I don’t know if I can go back to playing ARAM again when permabanning the Spoonerism of item 3100 isn’t an option.

As someone that played mostly aram and dropped it completly after completing the event quests: bans aren't what made me quit but the stupid balance.

I know poke was too strong but instead either nerfing damage or buffing tanks you did both. Meaning unless you were an assasin or kaisa or vayne with 3 tanks to peel for you you'd do nothing but feed if you were a squishy champ.

So yeah, still not gonna come back to aram given these new measly balance changes: you adressed only like 10 champs. What a joke.

You guys nerfed turrets yet by buffing tanks AND nerfing damage aram became even slower in many games. In wich you are now perma cc'ed by unkillable tanks. And when you get to be the tank it's so braind dead it's still boring af.

I actually loved loved bans, but it wasn't enouh for me to keep playing arams. Also backtrack was good on some champions but I missed barriers in other champs. I wish we could have both options.

Honestly they need to bring this stuff back

Backtrack is a useful spell and the bans made a huge difference to the mode. Bans are less necessary but the ARAM event was actually very fun coming from someone who used to almost never play ARAM.

Sigh I guess i'll be seeing rageblade vayne again.....well I guess trinity Ornn and Wits-end skarner (damn i miss old Wits) will be my vayne counter now.

I really liked backtrack, it was a fun alternative to flash. Snowball + backtrack did feel evil as Eve or Garen . I can understand why it was removed.
