Why in god's name is grade calculated essentially just on cs?

It makes no sense. It disincentives team play. Especially because it's tied to the loot system: if you want chests, better stay in top lane farming so that you get a couple kills, 5k cs and few deaths. As someone who plays Quinn, if I'm ahead in lane I feel like I have to choose between a shot at S rank and helping my team. I could go around throwing eagles at all the other lanes and being generally useful, but if I want chests Id better stay in top lane and farm until the 40 minute mark.

It's not that at all. It's make sure you get your wave pushing, then help other parts of the map with team. You don't need to farm all game to get a S

Yep, plenty of times when I wanted rank 7 id be too focused on winning and ending the game.

Learned that CS is the most important factor, so I just sat and farmed, easy S.

I had a game a few months ago as MissFortune where I was like 24/3/12 with 2 quadras, placed and destroyed most wards on my team, took the most turrets but since my cs was only like 200 at maybe 40 mins, I only ended with A+. I get that the cs wasn't very high for the time it went but I had to run around and stick with the team because we would of lost if I didn't and with your team grouping up a lot it's harder to cs when everyone is there. I've had games where some one would get an S/S+ when they barely did anything and would be like 8/6 but all because their cs was really high, they got it.

I think it's stupid how getting an S is so heavily based on if you can kill defenseless minions instead of actual team work, or killing other players.
