Let's talk about this: "The Dreadnought" - Urgot Rework

So I was roaming around Youtube looking up cat videos & what not, then this caught my eye. I'm floored in all honesty with what they have given to our good ole friend Urgot Urgot . Won't spoil it for anyone, but this is definitely something worth watching. Thought's Ladies, Gents & Scuttle Crabs?

He looks fun to play. Skills look reasonable too lol. Gotta see the numbers though.

I like his new [E]: Disdain. He literally flies at you, picks you up & props you right next to him. Think it's hilarious. Not laughing at his new Ultimate though. You get hooked with low health, you or your Ally become untagetable & can only be saved if Urgot Dies before you do.

item 3026 item 3814 item 3102 and maybe item 3139, item 3222, and summoner 1 (I don't know if you can "cleanse" the beacon before he starts pulling you in) will be his item counters and maybe Sivir will be his lane counter. I also wonder what happens if Urgot is hard CC'd or bard ulted while reeling in? would that interrupt him?

Judging by Observation, here's how I see those Items/Abilities/Summoner Spells working: -Summoner Spells- summoner 1 : Cleanse would remove debuffs & Summoner Spell Debuffs like Ignite & Exhaust. It would remove the initial Slow from the First cast, but since the only two types of CC Cleanse can not remove is Airborne & Coincidentally Suppression, it would be useless on his 2nd cast. -Items- item 3222 : Urgot's ult renders his target "Untargetable", which means you won't be able to select your ally as a target for Mikaels active if they are being pulled in by his ulti. item 3102 : By blocking the 1st cast, it would effectively counter his ult entirely. However in teamfights, a wise Urgot will wait for you to get low first before deciding to 'go fishin' for a kill. Also, Banshee's shield has a cooldown of 40 seconds that requires you take no damage for the item to come off Cooldown. He finds you, he'll want to take you fishing. item 3814 : Same thing can be applied to Edge of Night as well. Fishing anyone? item 3026 : This is one of three items you can build that will benefit you when dealing with Urgot. Not exactly the best option as it's marginally better than Banshee's & Edge of Night, Urgot will have to wait for you to die first. Unless ofcourse a novice Urgot reels in his kill early. item 3140 /item 3139 : Now these are actually the saving grace of items. Unlike Cleanse, this CAN cleanse a suppression & could save you if you get snagged. Although AP Champions will have no use for Mercurial Scimitar, QSS will still prove useful. -Abilities- Sivir/Nocturne/Malzahar : These three have one thing in common, the Spell Shield. If you want to prevent Urgot from using his Ultimate, you will have to predict when he uses his first cast. Unlike Banshee's & Edge of Night, I think it's possible to block his 2nd cast. He could wait for your spell shield to be activated, but you can also wait for him to hit his Ultimate. It would literally be a race to see who uses their ability first. As for Malzahar, he can block the first cast if his passive was active when hit. If it was down before hand, that's a different story. Gangplank : I have nothing to say about this guy. It's clear as day... Bard : Bard's Tempered Fate would be an interesting interaction. Unlike some abilities, it doesn't specify if Urgot's Ultimate is a Channeled ability. It might be something we'd have to see, I'd like to imagine it being a great answer to Urgot.

From what the video showed, he only seems to have long animations, not really any kind of channeling, since he was able to move around while reeling in. But when casting and actually killing the target, he seems to be locked in place. Also, I wonder if using cleanse and other debuff removers, would drop the beacon or just negate the slow. Maybe a cool interaction could be that if they cleanse the beacon, it would drop to the ground and Urgot could second cast to be pulled to the beacon.

Sure. He looks like he counters the shit out of talon so i'll be banning him every game.

He looks cool, but my one concern is his ult. While it is a skill shot, it is a longer ranged one. and if you are at the threshold, you are guaranteed to die if Urgot is not killed. I think that if this is the case, then Urgot should not be able to move, be displaced by allies (like with Tahm Kench devour), further attack with basics/abilities, or use summoner spells while he is in the second stage part (reeling in his kill). Because it is a guaranteed kill, he should not be allowed to flee and hide or further attack while getting it.
