Ahri changes in 5.2

So, for the most part I actually really like the change to Ahri. DFG is out, but that new speed buff on the q makes it super fun to taunt people at low health into chasing you while you just prance away while dealing some damage until they're too low to do anything about the rest of your team doing baron (true story in my last game. 20% health Ahri distraction OP). She has had damage buffs to her kit to compensate for the loss of her core item.

My ONE AND ONLY complaint is that I really wish her charm still did the amplified damage. Even if it was reverted back to how it was, with its reduced ap ratio and damage, I would be very happy if it retained its 20% damage amplification. Once again, she's supposed to be getting buffed because of the loss of the DFG, so why not at least let her keep her own mini DFG in her charm? I currently don't really care if I don't land it since while cc is nice, the real motivation to use a flash or ult to land it was for that extra damage that she so needed. Without that now I see a very noticeable difference in here damage, something that didn't really stick out to me until i tried to solo the golem, which took much longer than usual.

I am loving the changes to everything. Yeah no DFG is a huge drop in her reliable damage, but I still feel that the charm should keep its amplification. It even ends up making Ahri players more risky since they would like to take advantage of that, even if it might not always be so great too (very similar to the way Lee Sins follow up with their resonating strike even if they are going straight in the middle of a 1v5). I started playing the game when that was already part of Ahri's kit and I always personally believed that the amplification is what made it her most important skill to land, even moreso than the cc. It only amplifies her own damage, so it's not like her whole team will benefit if charm gets reverted back. And most of all, no matter how strong the amplification is, she can only benefit from it in the chance that she is able to land the skill, which we all know is not the easiest thing to do.

Riot, Don't you trust me?Ahri

Agreed. I feel so weak making risky plays and the speed buff makes positioning during a combo really awkward. I miss my old playstyle and being heavily rewarded for landing charm. Its not an easy ss to land and she lost alot of 1v1 potential. Her ult combos feel clunky and I'm not sure why lowering her damage is a buff. The W is nice for chasing now but I would prefer amp on charm back. I think Riot wanted to see her played more so they buffed the Ahri who cant land skillshots while nerfing the Ahri's who land them. Seems silly I'm hoping they'll change it back but for now just trying to find ways to position well with movespeed buff.

No one will stand in my way
