Guinsoo's rageblade won a game when the team was 15 kills behind

So when you have a game where you are ahead of the other team by 15 kills, but they happen to have an irelia and a xin zhao bth with rageblade, YOU LOSE. This item seriously needs a balance check, and it's gonna take more than 300 gold to nerf it. I'm tired of it being a game of whoever has guinsoo's wins. It's pretty much becoming as necessary as the summoner spell flash.

It does incredible damage in an AOE, and that makes champs like jac, irelia, xin, etc. not have to worry about their one weakness which is low waveclear. So jax has a new tool to not only let him push down turrets like a wrecking ball but also to rek a whole team! I have so much salt. NERF RAGEBLADE

Doesn't matter how many kills you have when everyone is full build.

You deserved to lose if you left a xin and irelia alone to tear through towers. You probably got arrogant because of your lead and got yourselves wiped by playing poorly. Stop blaming everything on rageblade a Xin can tear through towers at mid and end game now matter what he builds.

This happened once in a specific game, so that obviously means it will always happen where that item is present. Is that what you're saying? Because that's silly. Besides, if being 15 kills ahead were a guaranteed win, any team that gets that far ahead should just instantly win and save everyone the trouble, but that's not how the game really works.

But yeah, we know it's severely overtuned. It already got a 300 gold cost increase, and they're still watching it to see what else they need to do to it.

Even though I agree that it's strong, there's a lot wrong with this post.

It's too strong melee champions, but it feels pretty balanced on ranged champions

Simply nerfing it is stupid because they don't address the abuse cases, but make it weaker for people who might like it without making it stupidly overpowered

read the 5.23 patch notes in regards to rageblade

Earthlord Jazz11/23/2015, 11:41:29 PM1 votes

Your argument is invalid based off the evidence you've provided, but I can still see your point. Kills doesn't equal wins. Moving on though, the patch 5.23 notes are increasing the cost slightly, and they're claiming that if this is not enough, they'll nerf it again.

We just have to be patient and hope for the best. In the meantime practice playing against these champs to the best of your ability. Which champions have you found successful against these guys?

The problem is that it gives 64% attack speed, an atrocious amount. Like it literally almost pays for itself with just attack speed. The aoe passive is what makes it unique in that it gives non hydra champions a waveclear item, it's just the attack speed that totally breaks it

Irelia Bot11/24/2015, 8:16:31 AM1 votes

my question is why didn't you have a mundo, Trynda, Rammus and Malphite?

Yo don't worry they're nerfing swain

All the champions who are abusing it (sans Kayle) are melee.

Make melee champs only get 1 stack per attack instead of 2.

If that doesn't bring it in line, then start exploring other options.

Tbh, the waveclear granted isn't what makes the item OP. It's all about the amount of stats, which is pretty insane. 300 gold nerf is huge though, but the item was so OP it might not be enough. I guess we'll have to wait and see how it goes (don't forget that the buildpath is extremely garbage, meaning it might be more exploitable)

Gunblade is good, yes, but it is nowhere near unbeatable. Honestly? I let those champs get through, because Gunblade just isn't scary to me. Honestly, I think that it's strong, but it doesn't need a huge nerf like everyone is suggesting.

You missed Fizz. I've been playing Fizz with it, and once you get it you no longer need ult to kill your lane opponent in ~2-3 seconds from full health, with no other items. It's an absolutely insane powerspike that is also very, very cheap.

All you do is hit minions four times, w+q your lane opponent, and auto them until they are dead, saving your e to either slow them or dodge their CC ability, and then you have enough waveclear to push to their tower and enough tower damage to take it before they come back. It's incredibly broken.

Then you get Gunblade and have massive, and I mean massive, vamp that will sustain you straight through everything. I even buy Lucidity boots because pen boots just aren't necessary.

Unless you attack a creep or jungle camp prior to a fight, sorry, but it's not going to do anything for you.

I understand it's strong because of the stats it gives for the gold, but that's it. I've used it and faced against it, I really don't understand the kerfuffle about it outside the "its 9001% gold efficient!11"
