I swear, I'm honestly starting to think junglers get more shit than the support

Like holy shit. Just got out of a game where I was jungle Poppy, got 3 kills maybe 7mins into the game on the enemy jungler, mid and top, almost consecutively. I had dragon control, and easily took it, yet 3 of my team mates blamed me for not ganking and didn't ward against a jungle Zac (2 of my team mates, of course, pushed like mad and were literally glued to the enemy turret)

Don't try to pit Junglers against Sups! To the contrary, let's unite to put the carries back in their place, theses crybabies.

They're just as necessary as a tank or support! They aren't any more important.

I main both.

I think both get equal shit.

I always get that one ADC who doesn't understand I like roaming and that I'm the team's support, not their bitch, and when I jungle people don't understand that I need breaks to hit a camp and I can't gank literally every second.

Thank god for Rift Herald, tho, because I was getting real tired of being forced to ignore top lane in favor of dragon. Must have been shitty to be a top main beforehand, those guys get some shit but honestly they've had it a bit shittier than jungle/support mains on occasion.

Bot lane complains about double tp ganks but don't realize how often top laners get 3 man dived before 10 minutes.

Earliest 3 man dive I've had was at something like 4 minutes 3 seconds. Apparently my junglers shit decided to spill onto me.

IcyPepper3 votes

I'll occasionally quip about bot lane turning into an ARAM match, but yeah I hardly complain about TP ganks precisely because of that.

Also because I'm that asshole who sees (because I actually ward) three of the enemy team heading toward top lane so I take that as an opportunity to pay bot lane a visit with my midlaner.

But 4 minutes? Damn, talk about thirst O_O

I got dove at 3 minutes once except they all burnt their flash going into the tower and I just let them surround me and flashed to the other side. I may have died but I got a triple kill as Rumble before 5 minutes ( ͡ o ͜ʖ ͡ o)

lol, i think the earliest i've seen people come into lane to push relentlessly was like 2:55, less than a minute into the real game XD it was 4 against 2 in bot lane and their roamers had heavy crowd control...it snowballed like heck

i enjoy jungle a lot and if some one pings/types gank, first of all i see what is his situation then i decide what should i do

i dont gank 0/3 lanes unless the 3/0 is overextending or i'm sure i can get a kill

I main both, too.

I think junglers get more shit.

You reset the lane for them while they're backing? You get a dozen pings telling you to stop stealing CS that they'll never touch anyways. You tell them to leave when an enemy jungler is about to gank? They yell at you after they were brutally murdered that you that you should have counter-ganked. You can't help any lane because they all fed and you're left behind the enemy? They start flaming the only guy who's been playing it safe by farming and warding. You die once during a gank? They will forever pin the blame on you when they were the ones that didn't do jack shit until after you died an agonizingly slow death.

The most shit I've gotten lately as a support is for not committing double suicide along with my lane partner. Which is fortunately pretty rare nowadays.

Both junglers and supports are blamed for pretty much everything. Junglers especially when someone loses lane. Cause it's so obviously the junglers fault that the laner can't cs or dodge (sarcasm)

Generally I mute anyone complaining. You just have to use your judgement when jungling or supporting. Sometimes the kill hungry adc doesn't understand

Yes some will just be bad. But even if they aren't generally they are blamed for a lot of stuff. There are exceptions of course

PrinceOfStorms7 votes

Then when you're playing a champion whose first clear is really bad like Nidalee , and their LeeSin invades, you ping for assistance like eight times but they're so oblivious that they just leave you to die.

Then they blame you for not doing anything because you were so far behind that you weren't really able to do anything.

My fav is when you are at your crugs and your bot won't come to help, but somehow the ENEMY bot is there to help the enemy jungler...while your adc just sits there farming away missing half the cs in the wave, then wonders 30 seconds later why you aren't counter ganking the 3 people that just killed you while you are just respawning.

All you can do is just look at the game timer and hope it ends quickly lol That is usually when I never come bot ever and camp the crap out of top the rest of the game.

I think the jungler gets way more shit. especially if your team is losing. I main jungle tho. The only thing that i get flack for with support is if i accidently nab a kill. The jungler gets blamed for shit they cant even control. Like if your behind in dragons. thats a mild case though. point is, dragon is a team objective not a jungler objective. my only job is to land the smite. if i go solo it by myself they get drag and my ass. ive even been told by laners. (today) that they dont have to help when i gank. smh

This is true, because as a support main, the jungler gets far more crap. Worst I get is whiny adcs that I can just mute and ignore because they have no clue how anything but auto attacking works.

With jungle you can come gank, get a flash out of both bot, force them to back away and miss xp and cs and STILL get yelled at for "not having a successful gank" and just ridden for the rest of the game. I have played jungle, been in the process of ganking a lane on the other side of the map, getting a kill for the laner, and have the other side die, and blame me for not ganking to help them.

I feel bad for junglers because unless you are playing like an LCS pro, everything's your fault, and even if you do good, it is your fault for not giving every bit of everything to the laner. Took the kill? You suck. Took 1 CS? Troll taxing jungler, etc etc. You can't win lol

3TWarrior2 votes

the opposite can also be true though, such as those junglers who won't take a single dragon by 20 minutes into the game, no matter how free they are to do so

needless to say, without dragons, the opposing laners just powered up with 10% AD and AP, extra damage to minions and extra damage to towers

Xonra2 votes

First dragon is pretty good, but realistically, the game isn't all about dragons anymore, and that includes solo queue, not just pro play. If you are getting nothing AND not getting dragons, then sure you are doing it wrong.

If you are not focusing dragon, free or not, but getting other objectives, then dragon doesn't matter. You aren't likely to get to 5 dragons anymore, and maybe not even 4, so let the enemy focus dragon while you get towers and win. First dragon is good. The others aren't worth focusing on if you can get other objectives right now with the speed of the game.

braidedadhesive5 votes

Play both a lot, and junglers definitely get more abuse than supports in lower elos. Unless the support is really REALLY bad and basically doesn't know how to play support, like fighting the ADC for CS and feeding nonstop.

Sometimes I just say fuck jungling and flat out refuse to do it because it's ridiculous what people expect you to be able to do. And even when you're doing good people still whine like spoiled children. Focus on getting bot lane fed, top starts crying. Gank and people will complain about KSing (stupid concept to begin with) or taxing 3 minions. Stop ganking and farm for a minute because you're underleveled, people complain about you not ganking. Idiot laner pushes enemy into tower with no wards and gets ganked while I'm on the opposite side of the map, "noob jungle learn to countergank". 0/7 Riven with 100 HP sits on tower spamming help pings and begging for ganks while I'm doing dragon. And on and on and on. Sometimes I think these people should be forced to jungle for a while because they obviously have no idea how it works or how much junglers have to do.

Odyssey854 votes

Ayyy, support main here. IMO I think junglers get way more flak for not "doing their job." When I play support, and with random solo q citizens, typically say I mess up, and the ADC isn't as mad, even when taking a kill, since I guess they get a kill is helpful to not only us but to the entire team. I did say typically, since sometimes I'll get some pleb that blames their horrible positioning/roaming on me, so fuck you that one Heimerdinger bot lane with me Alistar, fucking blaming me for everything when you consistently and obviously going into bushes and getting caught in them, so eat shit. As for junglers, when I play I get flamed all the time, and it's always about ganks. Junglers don't win your lane, they just try to help pull it into your favor, and not only that they need to farm also, especially with devourer, so respect that and play safe and smart. Still, besides all that, very fun roles to play

At least as Jungler you can just kinda ignore the whiners and focus on snowballing other lanes, unfortunately as a support you're kind of stuck with laning with the person doing all the trash talking and so on.

"Noob jung no presence"- botlane

By this point botlane has died three times in seven minutes. I'm not setting foot near there unless it's because I now have to steal dragon due to their feeding makes it dangerous to take otherwise.

Junglers cannot win. Gank bottom for a kill? Your top just got killed because they were overextended: "gg no ganks."

3TWarrior2 votes

lol, I played Evelynn once and there was this attrocious player top. I think he was a jax back then, but I don't remember

anyway, I had to literally stay in his lane multiple times because he would have died 3x before 4 minutes into the game XD

would have...but after calling me out multiple times and the rest of my team needing more help...the second I leave, he dies and of course he blames me because he was one...one level behind the opponent...at 4:30

The Whamboozler2 votes

EVERY jungler has that story. A ton of them. No matter where you are and how well you're doing there will always be some teammate somewhere diving in neck deep then raging at you for not showing up like the hand of freakin' GOD to save them and net them that cool double kill they knew they could get when they tower dove Renekton with Elise in the bush nearby.

When you're playing jungler, and someone wants you to gank and you decide to give up pressure on the other lanes to get them ahead then they feed and then they go jungler WTF no gank. then you respond with "F U"

AChanceOfReign2 votes

I mostly main jungle, I play mid and top but bot is a horrible lane for me don't know why, but I had a game where Top and Bot needs ganks then I go Top to help them sense there where 3 of them. helped Top perfectly Top got 2 kills and the other one ran off but then Bot started to cry and whine because the enemy ADC got a double. Junglers do get alot of shit but I tend to kill everything in sight when playing Rengar, Renekton, or Kha :D I also hate when I get the kill but didn't mean it and the laner says something like "Really jungler, that was my kill" or "/all GG jungler KSing again" it ticks me right off. -_-

Swaid2 votes

Unless I'm in that special place where I'm sort of even with my enemy laner, I'd like a gank from my jungler to get the edge. On the otherhand, if I'm winning really hard or losing really hard, I don't want ganks. In the first scenario, I'm already doing well, no point in coming to help me if I'm already on the up and up; bottom will need the help more. In the other scenario, if I'm being beaten badly, odds are the enemy laner is fed and a gank might just net them a double kill; I'd rather just hunker down and feed on minions until its roaming time, rather then risk spiralling the situation further down the drain. As a top laner and a mid laner, as well as an occasional support, I keep my jungler's status in mind when I make my decisions rather then worry about me me me and what I think I need.

Wolfenstin2 votes

Well naturally the jungler will get more crap because he's basically supporting (or carrying depending how things are going) the whole team. The support is responsible for one teammate for the laning phase and beyond.

Though one could argue the support is there for the whole team too, most of it is going to fall back on the jungler who can usually pull a lane out of a jam in the early game. If the midlane fails to play safe and feeds, it's alright, it's the junglers fault for not ganking the 5/0 Zed. I play much more support than I do jungle, and even I know the most I'll get is my Vayne telling me to kill myself, or the jungler blaming me for not tower diving with low health.

There's only two possible people that will flame you as support, there's 4 who will if you're the jungler.

Beldair2 votes

So true. Had a jungler blame me for his death because i didn't tower dive the support Maokai as support Sej. Then get told i'm a terrible support by both the jungler and adc even though i set up 2 ppl for our jinx to kill. I didn't realize i am supposed to chase their support under their tower to get a kill.

Wolfenstin2 votes

Mine was playing as Shen when the Wu, who I believe was actually our top laner who teleported in, decided he'd try to fight a 1v3 while I was already packing my bags and leaving considering the ADC already got a kill and died. He decided to dive them and expect me to do something to save him.

I should have gone with my gut instinct and kept walking, but turned thinking in my heart he had a chance of not completely being destroyed. I had to flash out to escape death myself and he immediately loses his shit on me, telling me I was born retarded.

But, what can you do? Such is the life of supports.

Drackolus2 votes

CircusT4ffy2 votes

I have played a lot of Jungle recently.

It feels hard when all your lanes are losing at once, it gets incredibly difficult to figure out where to be.

It puts the Jungler into a false dichotomy. No matter where or how you decide to help your team, if you don't aid the person who feels they NEED your help; you will be in the wrong. In the end all a Jungler can do is their best, preferably with a focus on Objectives over Kills. Yet because you can have the biggest impact on a game as the Jungler; the blame falls on you.

If the game is in a dire state already, the miracle can't come from the Jungler alone. It has to come from the team. Help the Jungler Help you out. Don't flame them!

[zombie-brand-clap]

Zyorhist2 votes

supports haven't gotten nearly the flak they used to...mostly because of warding limits...I cant get yelled at for not having 20 wards out when I only have 3 to place.

The Whamboozler2 votes

Wait, you didn't know this?

The support gets bitched at by the adc. The jungler gets bitched at by the WHOLE TEAM.

Smurfloldie2 votes

I was a main jungler for 3 years and that is why i switched to top. I just coudn't stand people who would complain and blame me every time they lose a 1v1 in lane. Than you start explaining that you just took a drag , a kill and a flash bot. But all they are saying is how much their laner was pushed. Obviously getting pushed because you overstayed with 30% hp and no mana left. As a top player, i can blame myself for everything that happens to my lane for the first 20 minutes, than surrender or win depending how shitty my team is!:D

This is the truest statement I have ever seen. I used to main jungle, and always there is that one person that will tell you that you suck.

"Play safe bot, im ganking mid then ill be down there"

"K"- proceeds to try to go in on the enemy team 2lvl over them, As we get a kill and flash mid.

-red team double kill-

"Stupid jungeler should have come bot, reporting for assisting enemie team"

After dealing with that for a year playing mid is so much easier. Might help that from playing jungle so long I know where the enemies jungler is likely to be, so its a right B**** to try to gank me now.

Isn't it the team's job to ward, not any one role?

Just played a Game as Supp Thresh, Had a rengar jungler and a Vladimir mid.

Me and my Carry Vayne were doing Decent in bot lane, but then their quinn started ganking botlane, of course i wasn't going to survive that fight cus my low armor and health at the moment, so i throw a lantern while i walk back to our turret, quinn pushed vayne away from the lantern so she couldn't scape and then rengar decided to show up with half hp, granting quinn another kill. After that Rengar started Harassing me for not helping and for being a coward, even tho i told him to don't engage her because i was lower than 30% hp, he was telling everyone that i sucked and taht they should report me.

The game goes on and rengar gets killed 5 minutes later in the river, which i had fully warded (only one warding tbh), Vladimir decides to walk down to bot lane and gets ambushed near the dragon pit, to which i throw him a lantern but he decided to stay, resulting in his death, so he says "Wtf Thresh no help", i tell him that i couldn't do much as a Support vs a fed quinn and the enemy adc/supp trio, but maybe that wasn't enough for him , maybe i had to go die with him and give the enemy team more gold.

To be honest the only 2 ppl that weren't toxic to me were our Adc and the Top laner, I don't understand why ppl have to blame everything on the support.
