What if there was a tank item you could build from Tear?

Broken? Possibly, especially on someone like Ryze, or maybe Blitzcrank.

I'd still like to hear the community's thoughts on it.

A tear item becomes gold efficient when it's stacked, and tanks usually have high cooldown cc abilities that mean it will never get fully stacked

This creates a dilemma of making the completed item +8 charges (like archangels) thus making it viable on tanks, but at the same time that would make it completely busted on other champions like Ryze/Ezreal

ROA is a good mana+tank item as is protobelt and righteous glory

I meant a pure tank item, something like a Frozen Heart or an Adaptive Helm. Not every tank I play likes to build AP for those first two, and for items like Righteous Glory or Abyssal Mask I always feel like I'm wasting a large portion of the item's budget by getting it on certain champs (mostly Braum).

Also you could always have the item stack in a new way, similarly to how Manamune stacks with auto attacks in addition to abilities. It could be something that stacks more every time you apply hard CC, or something similar.

Braum has Zeke's atm, which is the best item in the game on him. There are just lots of items that already give mana plus any combination of hp, armour and MR

The community recently asked for a new AP item that gives armour, there is definitely more need there

Stacking mana and have a tank item that converts bonus mana from the tear item into something like armor, magic resistance or health could definitely be interesting for sure.
