so can we nerf this piece of toxicity already? there is no counterplay to her 100-0ing u in 1 second except making sure she has no kills and like 0 cs by 30 minutes...

People like you are the reason that Katarina causes toxicity. You just don't know how to handle her.

Most people start playing against her mid and don't even try to counter her. She has a poke that bounces between targets, so stay out of the minion wave. She's got a short flash-like move, just stay back. She's got her aoe and ult, just don't stand close to her. She's not infallible, she's not an instant win if people know what they're doing. Most people on the team just need to build some MR, and go about their normal game, and keep an eye on her. If they can't see her, stand back because she's probably roaming.

If you're mid: Buy Abyssal Scepter If you're adc: Buy Hexdrinker If you're tank: Buy either Banshee's Veil or Spirit Visage If you're jungle: Ward for your team, and kill that Rift Scuttler If you're support: Have your hard CC ready.

Remember, if Katarina can't get a kill, she can't snowball, and her cooldowns don't get reset. What makes her so effective in teamfights is that her cooldowns get reset when she takes someone out.

I am personally not a Katarina main. I don't even own Katarina. The only reason I permaban her in ranked is because of people like you that don't know how to counterplay; it's a big part of this game. Riot has given you the tools to deal with most champions in the game. Some of them slip through the cracks and are legitimately too strong, but that's usually sorted out quickly. Katarina can be dealt with, as long as you know to play it safe, get your farm in, and capitalize on her mistakes, not make plenty of your own.

EDIT: Also, Merc Treads are kind of a thing as well, if you want.

Everything you said is correct regarding kat. To add on, she is strong against uncoordinated teams and teams with no CC. She is very hard to play in the tank meta because her ult is interrupted by almost anything and she cannot 100-0 anyone except the adc (but if the adc can move out of range of her ult they will blow her up). She can't escape unless she gets a kill. The key to facing kat is to RECALL or go do something other than be near her when you are at low hp. A half hp naut would have a better chance in a 1v1 than if your 25% hp jinx and 10% hp teemo decide to try to help.

Finally, her snowball consists of killing people. She is not good at taking towers or objectives. She has no CC whatsoever. She is a good teamfighter but she cannot single-handedly win a game unless the other team just gives up. Her other problem is she takes all the kills so one mistake can me GG for any fight because she is so risk reward oriented.

That being said, I almost want her to be nerfed so I can play her again.

Yeah, I kind of have to feel sorry for Kat mains. Since no one knows how to deal with her, they just ban her instead. So, she's banned in pretty much every game. Kind of sad really.

Sej has a higher ban rate but i think kat is in second place

Kat can't kill you quickly unless you're already low to begin with. Stay clear of her if you're low on health, definitely, and make sure someone has some CC ready to stop her from doing huge damage during a teamfight. If she's stupidly fed that she really could 100-0 you in a few seconds, by then you ought to at least have a Zhonya's of your own to troll her whenever she ults.

Here is a way to counter Katarina . Few steps right here.

Get a team members with at least a few points of hard cc to stop her ultimate. (Ex. (Q ONLY, R only roots her) (E ONLY) (E and Q) (R and Q stop her ult, e roots her in place) (Q and E)
Know what DOES NOT stop her ultimate. for example many think roots stop her ult such as amumus ultimate or leonas E. They don't . The channel will still continue.
Build MR
Draft her counter but do NOT play her counter if you are bad with the champion, a good kat can beat the counter if you aren't good with them (Ex. )
If low enough for a combo do NOT get near her or fight. she will go for you to get resets.
