Maokai tips
I have been playing maokai jungle recently and even though my score is usually good i feel like im not doing anything in fights, is there any tips that can make me feel more useful, btw i build very tanky.

As always, focus and root the enemy carry in fights. and remember, your ult affects allies too so you can peel very well if you need to. Outside of that, maokai is pretty simple to play.
If your team is ahead, then look to engage with your W, then walk behind the enemy or flash behind their team and q. Another thing you can do is scout with your e and setup traps/ambushes with your team. Lastly, since you are a CC tank, you should be peeling for whoever is carrying your team in fights, whether it be the ADC or Mid laner.
I lied, this is the last thing. Be very sure to be utilizing your passive as much as possible to stay alive in the fights as long as you can.
Maokai jungle is not great but if you insist on playing him, go for a very heavy gank play style. Also peel for your team when team fights break out.
I prefer him toplane myself, but jungle works great too. There are two main way to play the tree in a team fight. You can do the flank/dive where you scare them to focus you due to his base ratios chucking the adc more than you would expect. The other is a peeling and using your ultimate to give your carry(prefer fed) 20% damage reduction. Maokai is a team fighting monster than peaks in the mid game, but is still great late game( but becomes mortal). To decide between peeling or diving look at the team comps; if your adc is getting dove and dies then peel, or if thier adc is ignored and therefore deals massive damage then dive. The big thing with maokia is knowing which one to do and when, and this is something one learns from playing enough games as a tank. :) plus do top lane tankier and a very safe lane.
