Well, most monitors won't support that anyway.
But aside from that, more than 180 fps makes about no difference at all for the human eye.
There are even studies that show that in terms of raw perception(the gameplay relevant stuff), it caps out at ~20fps already.
So yea, post 20fps, the visuals apear smoother, but you won't precive movement or judge speed any better, and post 90(can be somewhat more for very sensitive people) you won't even notice smoother visuals anymore.
It becomes a bit different for the periphery of our eyes, so if you have a really large monitor or use VR, high fps actually still makes a difference, but even then, betwenn 120 and 180 will hardly be any difference, even less so above that...So what would be the point from getting more fps than that?
