Riot can you use more of my GPU/CPU? You are only using 40% of each!

So I have a GTX 1060 which is a a 300 dollar GPU and LOL is only using 40%. Riot please fix this I need more then 180 FPS

Edit: Forgot to add the specs. Also I should have been more clear. When I get into teamfights the fps drops to 180 minimum my average is 250FPS and max is 450FPS. https://prnt.sc/fc7ec9

Can't tell if troll or what. What kind of eyes do you have that you need 180+ fps? x)

meanwhile I'm sitting on barely 60 fps, and poor optimization somewhere is dipping me from 60 to powerpoint presentations.

Turn off shadows, and mess around with other options.

If you are still having problems, reinstall or repair the game.

60-100 fps not stable but never lower than that and 60-80 ping...6 seasons now always diamond++

But sure its because the fps that is not 300 is what keeping you all behind not your luck of any skill for the game

Well, most monitors won't support that anyway.

But aside from that, more than 180 fps makes about no difference at all for the human eye. There are even studies that show that in terms of raw perception(the gameplay relevant stuff), it caps out at ~20fps already. So yea, post 20fps, the visuals apear smoother, but you won't precive movement or judge speed any better, and post 90(can be somewhat more for very sensitive people) you won't even notice smoother visuals anymore. It becomes a bit different for the periphery of our eyes, so if you have a really large monitor or use VR, high fps actually still makes a difference, but even then, betwenn 120 and 180 will hardly be any difference, even less so above that...So what would be the point from getting more fps than that?

  1. The human eye cannot perceive a noticable difference beyond 60fps.

  2. A GTX 1060 is simply overkill for League of Legends.

  3. You are right about League using way too much RAM/CPU cycles... but there is a solution!

You're welcome.

Posts like these have been made loads of times, I'm convinced LoL just has crap hardware optimization. Anyway you don't NEED more then 180 fps on LOL, what do you NEED over 180 fps on a MOBA. I don't thing Lol is the type of game that needs you to have intense framerates, it's not overwatch. But yeah it's kinda ridiculous, I play lol on a geforce 840m and reach about 150-160 fps so 20-30 fps behind yours, which is silly if you compare the strength of a 1060 to a 840m

Sounds like a waste of energy and heat produced. I just cap my fps at 120 lol. Wish I had a high refresh rate monitor.

Im always on like 65 FPS and im perfectly fine, but its a different story when i hear my teammates complaining about their 180 FPS and im sitting here like [zombie-brand-facepalm]

Danjeng7/23/2017, 12:17:47 AM1 votes

Here I am on my laptop with very low settings barely reaching 60fps in the jungle, and 30fps in lane. Might as well play LoL on console at this point. Honestly 60 fps isn't bad at all.

SweedishGunner7/23/2017, 1:43:23 AM1 votes

It'll run at 144fps on my 144hz 1920x1080 monitor for me just fine. Haven't checked how much CPU/GPU power it's taking up though.
