Let's try to look at Tahm Kench objectivly

First let's break down his abilities starting with his Q a long range slow dealing magic damage very similar to Bruam both in passive and dmg/skill shot type. Tahm's W can allows him to either swallow an enemy or an ally from a distance holding them for 3 seconds then another active allowing him to either deal dmg to an enemy or preposition his ally. Also Tahm gets a speed boost or a slow on his W's active depending on weather or not he swallows ally or enemy This ability can be used on friend or foe while said enemy/ally is CC'd in anyway shape or form. This can be used to save the ADC from major burst like an annie tibbers or just any type or risky situation in general. Infact the only real way to kill the enemy laner while a tahm kench is present is either to kill tahm and the enemy laner or the enemy laner has to be astronomically bad. Which brings me to Tahm's E which stacks up as a gray health bar as Tahm takes dmg either passively healing him for a % of the grayed out HP bar or on active providing him a shield worth 100% of what was built. This will likely be used to keep Tahm alive when he swallows the enemy laner to make it so you have to kill Tahm twice to get the the actual person you a trying to kill. Tahm's E as a passive allows him to stay in lane and say fuck you to all harass because he will just heal most of it back anyways. Now let us look at his E. His R allows Tahm to take himself and one ally on a truly magical Journey across the map because it has so many glitches that even though he can't use it while in combat he can still use it while in fucking combat.

If we sit down and look at other champions who have global abilities or reposistioning abilities, or passive regen and shield we can see counter play left and right. Lets start with Bruam's Q. Bruam deals magic dmg and slows with his Q also applies a single stack of his passive sounds alot like Tahm. Only the travel time is a lot slower wider and can be easily dodged by staying behind minions or some good predictions. Tahms W much like a mini Kalista ult. When Kalista ults she can only ult her chosen binded champion and it has a cooldown worth its use, secondly the ulted ally can chose when to go or not to go. Meanwhile tahm can do the same thing to enemy or ally do dmg to them reposition them aaaaaaand has a 14-10 second cooldown. LIKE WHAT THE FUCK. Tahms's E is kinda like a Garen passive accpet a million times better has no counter play because hitting him actives it aaaand gives him a super shield. Sooo why even bother hitting him might as well harass the ADC oh wait......RIIIIIIIIGHT even if I completely go for the ADC any kill potential on him and tahm will just eat him unfaverable trade better get my adc out of here and force you to attack me. Any global ult in the game is only for the person ulting and has counter play Shen ult kill the person getting ulted it canlced CC'd Cancles has a long enough channel time that is very easy visbale that you can react to it in time. Rek'sai ult you crush her tunnels and she can only ult to tunnels making her pathing non-optimal ETC ETC.

The Gist of this read is Tahm Kench is a bullshit champ that is way overloaded in his kit has little to know counterplay his abilities aren't clear and I objectively think he should be removed from the game because objectively he either needs a rework or just that, to be removed since he vastly out matches any other support even Thresh. FUCK THIS CHAMP, and FUCK YOU BALANCE TEAM.

objectively, he has a fuckton of utility, and hes crazy tanky. this combination is fine.

the only problem is, that his ability ratios are a tad too high, and they just made it easier to itemise for hp/ap with the ap rework. leading to an effect, where he can be quite a lane bully with constant poke from his q while hard to take on directly due to his tankyness and nom.

imo tune down the ratios on his abilities a bit, and have all of his passive stacks decay at once instead of one by one, when the timer runs out. the relatively short cooldown on tongue lash and the fact that his stacks decay very slowly, leads to an effect where he can stack them up at range too easily. he should at least have to come into melee range and auto me once or twice, if he wants to get those stacks up.

speaking of which, his debuff needs a timer, so we know when its going to decay.

but his passive stacks are what ticks me off the most. when you get into the red zone, you should be able to draw back for a couple of seconds and have them decay before you get back in, to avoidd getting eaten. basically like any other champ with a similar 3 stack mechanic.

but because the stacks decay so slowly, you would have to be at least a good 15 seconds far out of range before they all drop off. and then, its pretty easy for him to get the stacks back up on you. its practically impossible to avoid giving him 3 stacks about every 30 seconds or so.

if u play him as a support all ur doing is taking kills from adcs in my experience both as tahm and against tahm, top lane he is rather useless he has 1v1 potential but is super vulnerable to ganks he is a great roamer but it takes allot of communication to play this champion as well
