thoughts on Galio

So currently Galio is an anti-mage tank ranged caster with a channeled taunt ult. The problem lies in the fact that Galio has to full commit to a fight if he wants to use his ult, since the lane where he would have the most all around impact would be bot lane, where he doesn't really shine. You see most of the tower dives in bot lane ganks and skirmishes and a well timed ult can either enhance a dive or repel a dive. However gameplay and mechanics wise Galio shines in only certain midlane matchups and a very limited number of top lane matchups, since Galio really just wants to build MR. So he'd be strong into say your in your face AP champs like Swain, Leblanc, Ahri, Diana. However poke mages such as Lux, Brand, Annie, Karma, and Morgana can safely lane against him even when he builds right. If an anti-mage tank isn't impactful against all mages he's losing his fantasy and his purpose. Really what I think Galio should be if the anti-mage theme is kept within his kit is an anti-mage brawler. He needs a way onto those long range mages that sit safely outside his current ult's range. So what I think he needs is an engage tool and not a dissengage tool. Basically I really want his current ult to be scrapped in its entirety. Maybe if we move away from his current gameplay in its entirety and move to something more unique to his fantasy that would be the better option.
