Regardless of armor pen, Ninja Tabi's give a passive of 12% basic attack reduction. Which for 1100 gold, you basically counter any adc in the game besides vayne... I think a smart change would be flat 10% and 25 armor. So as the fights go on, you can potentially deal damage to bruisers/tanks. There is no AP defensive items like Ninja Tabi's, Merc's is flat MR resist and CC. Building void staff gives you true magic pen. Building last whisper, means you still only deal 88% damage.

Ninja tabi's is an insanely strong item especially early game but you still have gigasilver players on the boards saying you need to buy mercs vs a full AD team for that crazy 30% tenacity.

I think you are GREATLY overestimating how much 12% reduced attack damage actually is.

On a 100 armor target if they were going to be hit for 200 damage by an auto attack they'd take 100 damage.
If they bought an 800 gold chain vest putting them at 140 armor they'd take 83 damage.
If instead they purchased Ninja Tabis they'd take 78.

The real kicker here is that if the damage received was not an auto attack they'd have taken 89 instead.

Ninja Tabis are only "slightly" more effective on auto attacks than an equal value of armor components (and significantly less so than items like item 3110 , item 3143 , item 3075 , and flat out worst against every other physical damage sources.

There is a reason nearly every Tank/Bruiser/Juggernaut/and Diver chooses Merc's over Tabi's. Tabi's are highly situational and in most situations where they would be "slightly" better other armor options are still superior.

so we are going to ignore the 64 base armor Ezreal has at lvl 14 + item 3025 65 armor and then item 3047 20 armor for a total of 159 armor? and say the only reason Draven lost the 1 vs 1 was cuz of passive?

and this isnt taking in account whatever def runes Ezreal might have took

item 3047 already has the lowest win rate out of all boots despite full AD teams being really popular.

Meh, if tabi's arent the issue, then it's dravens whole damage kit revolved around his bonus Q damage from auto attacks. Buff draven :) ty

No fucking way XD I was reading the post and chuckled inwardly betting that this was some salty Draven player. I scroll through the comments and low and behold. My mans, just hush. Tabi's are about the ONLY defense (GA aside) that an ADC can get to directly mitigate some of the absolutely oppressive frontloaded damage on Draven's autos. I play Varus. I don't bitch when people buy merc treads, because fucking my root is smart. Just play through it and fight accordingly.
