Regardless of armor pen, Ninja Tabi's give a passive of 12% basic attack reduction. Which for 1100 gold, you basically counter any adc in the game besides vayne... I think a smart change would be flat 10% and 25 armor. So as the fights go on, you can potentially deal damage to bruisers/tanks. There is no AP defensive items like Ninja Tabi's, Merc's is flat MR resist and CC. Building void staff gives you true magic pen. Building last whisper, means you still only deal 88% damage.

Ninja tabi's is an insanely strong item especially early game but you still have gigasilver players on the boards saying you need to buy mercs vs a full AD team for that crazy 30% tenacity.

I agree that 1.3s second stun totally needs Tenacity so its 1.04s and still overlapping with 5 other CCs anyway

except tenacity is basically worthless against chain cc with how fast you get bursted down, so honestly it doesn't really make that much of a difference, and you definitely don't buy treads for the MR, lol.

Tabis is insanely strong early game, it basically doesn't matter after the adc two item spike tho. Anything is gonna get melted regardless

I think you are GREATLY overestimating how much 12% reduced attack damage actually is.

On a 100 armor target if they were going to be hit for 200 damage by an auto attack they'd take 100 damage.
If they bought an 800 gold chain vest putting them at 140 armor they'd take 83 damage.
If instead they purchased Ninja Tabis they'd take 78.

The real kicker here is that if the damage received was not an auto attack they'd have taken 89 instead.

Ninja Tabis are only "slightly" more effective on auto attacks than an equal value of armor components (and significantly less so than items like item 3110 , item 3143 , item 3075 , and flat out worst against every other physical damage sources.

There is a reason nearly every Tank/Bruiser/Juggernaut/and Diver chooses Merc's over Tabi's. Tabi's are highly situational and in most situations where they would be "slightly" better other armor options are still superior.

So you're telling me this Tank blue Ezreal should win this fight here down a level? Yes he used heal , Shouldn't matter, yes I face tanked his abilities, shouldn't matter. I have a full level advantage, and my items outclass his. He is a back line utility caster. The only difference in this situation is straight up how broken Ninja tabi's are. I even PROC'D PTA. I win those anyways if I crit in one of my last 3 auto attacks, RNG btw but here is a prime example of how Ninja Tabi's can absolutely GUT some adcs. That kill also would of been baron, and possibly the game. I lost from a pair of boots. How depressing

Are you seriously just going to ignore is IBG and Mortal reminder? You lost because he has grievous and you face tanked his abilities.. and he STILL had to use a summoner...

So OP...

He'd have killed you with a chain vest instead of tabi's as well. You'd also have killed him of you had PD over RFC.

I'm a silver 4 with 39% win rate because I only play with a couple friends who just recently picked up the game. :) I'm also a 40 year old man with bad hands. I just play to enjoy the game. I'm also capable of doing simple math. Are you not?

Lord Dom's is a 35% reduction, it doesn't make his armor do "fuck all." The truth is if he'd had a simple chain vest instead of hexdrinker and berserker greaves instead of tabi's you'd be just as dead. You played that badly and are raging about it. The simple fact is if you'd input a movement command at 0:04 after that flash before your auto attack and caught that axe you'd have easily killed him. What you actually did was go into the fight at less that full health, not take advantage of your bloodthisters shield, went into it without a heal reduction and your own heal down, proceed to face tank everything going too aggro.

The only thing your video really shows is that Draven does too much damage and came far too close to killing ez while basically doing everything possible to fuck up.

As another note if anything the ADC's in that game being 17/9 and 14/7 make for a pretty good argument to buff Ninja Tabis.

so we are going to ignore the 64 base armor Ezreal has at lvl 14 + item 3025 65 armor and then item 3047 20 armor for a total of 159 armor? and say the only reason Draven lost the 1 vs 1 was cuz of passive?

and this isnt taking in account whatever def runes Ezreal might have took

No fucking way XD I was reading the post and chuckled inwardly betting that this was some salty Draven player. I scroll through the comments and low and behold. My mans, just hush. Tabi's are about the ONLY defense (GA aside) that an ADC can get to directly mitigate some of the absolutely oppressive frontloaded damage on Draven's autos. I play Varus. I don't bitch when people buy merc treads, because fucking my root is smart. Just play through it and fight accordingly.
