Has anyone actually bothered looking at how goddamn good some of these tanks are right now (in spite of the GW changes which everyone assumed would gut Mundo)? I have had several teams when I'm playing a tank where none of the damage deals are willing to pick up Mortal Reminder or Morellonomicon when the enemy team has a Dr. Mundo and one/two other tanks. They didn't bother getting Lord Dominik's Regards either, which was quite sad.
Plus many teams just pick 4 AD champions and act surprised when they can't kill the enemy tanks. It's really quite sad, but that is solo-queue.

Considering that I mentioned Mortal Reminder would be a good second or third purchase against their team before our team left the fountain and a couple times afterwards...
Besides, the enemy team had multiple champions stacking armor,one of whom had a significant amount of regeneration. I don't see how Mortal Reminder (which provides bonus armor penetration and Grievous Wounds) would be a waste of gold in that situation.

If adcs counter built tanks and juggernauts ( different classes of champions ) then they would be weaker. Mundo would be fair and TANKS would be seen less often unless they build dmg.

Mundo got a pretty big buff along with all other tanks. The items aren't that great anymore unless they're buying 2 - 3 Armor items. Mundo can get away with just buying things like Warmogs over Thornmail against an AD comp though since he does well with health and regen.

This patch is AWESOME for those who play tanks. Yes, ADC's are incredibly strong. But both teams have ADC's. Seeing how assassins suck atm (take a look at their winrates/avg. games played, they hit the GROUND as in 40-45%) because they can't assassinate the ADC overlords you gotta play tanks who are either able to peel for their own ADC to make him/her even stronger or CC the other ADC. Even though it may be counterintuitive, this is probably the best patch for tank players since the best times of Cinderhulk. And yes, I am not kidding. Numbers prove my point.

That's personal opinion though, and you don't have to like it.
Playing tanks right now feels like a weapon manufacturer during a war. Profits go up because of demand, not because someone wanted an update to their national arsenal. Lastly, you can't deny the tanks with the best winrates are the most mechanically simplistic, I've seen the numbers myself.

It was quite boring because tanks were the best for CCing, for tanking damage and for dealing damage. I mean, I like playing Maokai and Gnar, so it wasn't really bad for me. But it got sorta boring after a while. Meta has to shift otherwise it's boring.

To be honest.. Tanks in general are mechanically simplistic.. Or do you count Irelia as a tank? But even then, Irelia has a great winrate. No idea which tank is supposed to be mechanically demanding, so I can't really prove you wrong..

His E did get a buff with the last patch that gives him a deal more burst now. It does bonus damage on the first hit after you use it that scales on health. So now you have a Q to slow and E to hit combo that proves a stronger trade off than his previous cleaver spam.
However, even though he does more damage now, the main issue is what everybody is saying. People just don't build against him. Most players are just too selfish and only choose high damage champs and build high damage on them instead of picking for team composition and building for the enemy composition. Grevious wounds now has more sources than before so his ult can be stopped far more often. Mundo's strongest power is enemy stupidity
