It's because you are queuing as a premade. My level 7 smurf was going up against silvers when I queued with friends.

I mean a quick view of your profile and I can see that you go up against level 15s as well.

It sucks for the person leveling up, but It's pretty evened out for you.

Premades have an advantage against solos, so you get put up against stronger solos to compensate, yes.

The level 21 kinda screws everything up, though.

My biggest question would be whether your level 21 is a new player or a smurf/player from different MOBA. If they are significantly skilled the smurf detection system will be matching them with high ranked players despite being unranked and under 30. I know that when I started a second account to learn assassins (because I was so bad with them I wasn't actually able to learn anything against players of my own skill level since I just fed) that after about 8-10 games I started getting matched with gold and plat bordered opponents and other smurfs.

The other thing could be that if any of you have a low number of games played in ranked or a recent win streak, your MMR could be much higher than average for your rank so you are getting matched with players of the skill level you are moving towards rather than your official rank.

The level 21 is a new player and not playing really good, and none of the premade has any win streaks and we all have a lot of ranked games , maybe except for me but still.

Well I've got no idea then. I try to keep familiar with the general way the matchmaking algorithms work since so many people don't understand them but this sounds wonky. I'd suggest not worrying too much about it unless it becomes a trend since it most likely has to do with your opponents MMR being off from their ranks.
