How do I grab multiple balls with Sandra's w?

I just recently bought syndra and i went into sandbox mode. I maxed my w and when I press it I only pick up one ball. I can't figure out how to pick up more than one please help. i have 2-3 orbs at a time and when I press w it only grabs one

They changed her a few patches ago (7.1 I believe) to no longer grab additional Dark Spheres and instead grants +20% Bonus True Damage. This prevents her from running around with a fully charged Ultimate at the ready and allows for some counterplay from her opponents, while also making her somewhat more useful against Tanks.

They changed it, you can only pick up 1, but it does 20% True damage when maxed.
