1/20 PBE Update

Oh no another thread...will to bad! Let's see what this new update is going to do to change zed... OH his attack speed is being lowered. Will people lets do some math, his old attack speed, 0.658, and his new attack speed 0.644. Come ON PEOPLE you don't have to be smart to realize that it is only lowered by 0.014. You don't have to be smart to realize that that ain't going to do SPIT. The fact still remains that he will still be able to delete squishies, he will still be able to out farm you, he will still be able to split push all the way to your base, he will still use energy even though mana is being nerfed, and he will still LAUGH in your face every time he has marked you. The attack speed being lowered isn't going to change anything. Don't worry, there's some good news, HE WILL STILL BE ABLE TO DIVE YOU WHEN YOUR UNDER TOWER. That moment when Zed has all ins you and marked you and your like YES I'm going to kill him finally, Next thing you know he teleports to his ult shadow and now he all the way accross the map... I just made this thread to tell you guys my opinion. I'm not asking for anyone to agree or anything I just spoke my opinion. Will, just remember, never feel safe under your tower when there's a loose. P.S with all the assassins getting nerfed like Kat,fizz,akali, and DFG getting removed, this isn't going to help Zed's cause because those champs actually maybe stand a chance against him...

Base Attack Speed .658 -> .644 Scaling: 3.1% -> 2.1% per level (52.7% -> 35.7% at level 18)

In plain English: At level 18: 1.00 -> 0.87 attacks per second.

Since Base Attack Speed was nerfed, he'll also gain less attack speed from items (i.e.: BotRK).

Enemy mid takes Zed -> I tell my mid laner to take exhaust -> we now have 2 exhaust's to fuck over their DPS

If they're only going to lower his attack speed by such a small amount, people will still complain and he'll still be the most banned champion.

They're doing it because he has a 47% win rate which is garbage, and they think he's not op and they just need a psychological nerf to get people to stop banning him.

They're wrong of course, he is op but has a low win rate because he's hard to play and all of the freelo seekers are rushing to him. Hopefully we'll see a meaningful nerf soon...

You just have to be smart to do the math and understand how AS works in this game.

Late game at full build with Youmuu's active and BotRK, he will have lost 0.143 AS, or roughly 20% AS, which is more than a dagger worth of AS. Before getting items, it actually hurts him even more since the heavily nerfed his % AS per level even harder than his base AS, bringing his base AS at 18 down from 1.005 to 0.879 which is a LOT.

PLEASE DO YOUR MATH BEFORE COMPLAINING.

Really the only good part about Zed is his laning, and people always assume that they can still fight and 1v1 him easily and they always get cocky and loose. He's only super strong when his lane opponent feeds and then he starts to roam. He's only able to kill a tank in a single combo if he's fed as fuck and the tank isn't.

I mean, currently Zed has a 48% win rate and a 56% ban rate. He doesn't even win over HALF the time, I mean really. http://www.lolking.net/champions/ Go and find Zed.

I think this nerf is due to the fact that Riot believes him to be healthy, but too strong in terms of being able to be an assassin but also have a huge split push ability. So, they're lowering his attack speed to lower his ability to take towers. By a little bit. Not saying this fixes his problems, but I'm also not saying that Zed is THE problem overall.

In an unrelated note, why did you type "will" instead of "well"?

The funny thing is Zed is the closet thing to a "healthy assassin" LoL will have. His ult is what allows him to kill people, yet exhuast, cleanse will remove his ilt which is the counter play. I honestly believe Zed passive should be nerfed on minions because his farming is just to easy and he's to safe with his W, but other then that hes fine.

He can still get more done to him over this patch and the next, they need to make tweaks and see the result of them, they aren't going to just toss a bunch of random changes and see what happens. But seriously shut the hell up about Zed now.

Blitz is one of the stronger supports in the game right now. He could possibly be overpowered, but that's mostly in relation to all the other supports that got nerfed too hard.

Katarina is getting nerfed.

Riven's animation cancel needs to be toned down, but you can see her coming and blow her up before she reaches priority targets.

At least Rumble has walk up and aim. Also, his early game is actually kind of bad, but he starts picking up mid-game pretty fast.

Poppy has a terrible early game. Most of the time, people just don't know how to pressure her properly early game because they NEVER see her.

I don't care what they take out of Zed, as long as it does something to make him not be a god of mid lane.
