How am i supposed to get to platinum at flex?

I'm already at gold - plat mmr and i'm just at bronze 4 due to getting in Iron 4 after playing the first placement match. By the time i hit silver i will be playing with plat - low diamond how and to get to plat probably ill have to beat master players which seems kinda absurd this new system seems so all over the place.
