Why is liking Dynamic queue so bad.

I can't be the only person here who likes both queues. League is a very social game, being friends with people shouldn't have to be so bad, so why is queueing with a few people so bad. I get that some people don't want to be friends and group, that's fine.

But there is something i do want to bring up. It clearly shows how much solo queue means to you. But why is the "debate" so one-sided. I see sooooo many people saying how solo queue is the only ranked to go, and yet someone like me says one positive thing on dynamic, and i get burned at the stake. You have to realise that there is a huge playerbase that Loves dynamic queue, but all these boards are basically forcing people to pick a side, get rid or dynamic, etc.

I honestly don't think getting rid of a queue that some people like because you want the old system back is a good idea. Because it's impossible to have both without sacrificing all that hard work riot has done.

The issue with Dynamic Queue is that it removed Solo Queue.

Solo and premade strategies cannot be measured on the same ladder accurately.

However, Dynamic Queue, as a ranked system, is flawed because its essentially a boosting service.

Its no different from normals, but now with rewards.

Rank doesn't mean anything now, but that doesn't matter to most people because the rewards are tangible goods.

Incentive to play ranked should come from a desire to find out where you stand skill-wise among other players. It should not be for rewards, which is why the whole 'ranked rewards' system needs to be redone. It should not be to play with your friends. Its to find out where you, as an individual, stand.

There should honestly be a Dynamic Queue threshold, where you cannot queue for it unless you've been playing for X amount of time this ranked season, and require at least plat. Solo Queue should be what's utilized before that, and they should be two separate systems.

It's because Dynamic can never be a true representation of your skill because it's easy to get carried. Dynamic should be for norms, solo for ranked.

There is NOTHING wrong with BOTH.

Solo is still just as much based on luck in low elos (Silver or Bronze). While actually being more skill based Mid Gold and above.

It wont solve trolls, wont solve afks, etc. HOWEVER, Solo Q will make it so you are not paired with a premade which could be good or bad. And in mid to high elos can prove true skill.

Dont get me wrong, i like both. Cant wait for Solo Q. But im being realistic, it isnt perfect and wont solve all our woes.

Worth noting, the "debate" isn't even close to one sided. The people posting on the boards represent the vocal minority. The silent majority has not reason to come forward, since they have what they want.

The soloQ following is a fraction of a percentage of the player base.

I take no issue with dynamic queue in of itself, and I'd probably give it a try every so often.

However, being forced to fill in premade groups every time I want to play a game is extremely discouraging and just chases me out of the game. Solo queue ranked was the only refuge, I've only been playing with the intention of getting back into solo ranked play. Finding out its been dismembered pretty much has me on my way back out again

The issue is this. By introducing Dynamic Queue, they have knee-capped themselves. Dynamic Queue is awful for solo players and most of them hate it. BUT putting back solo queue means that the playerbase will be split between the two and thus queue times will go up. Since most players who are solo will avoid Dynamic Queue like the plague, it means that a four man team in Dynamic Queue will be stuck waiting for a LOOONG time until they find a solo player who misclicked into the wrong queue or something. Essentially it will go back to when ranked required either a 5 man team or a duo. Duos and three mans will probably be ok, since they can match one with the other, but it will make having a four-man group take FOREVER.

Essentially by putting solo queue back they'd be signing Dynamic Queue's death warrant AND admitting it was a failure... and Riot likes to stubbornly refuse to admit to failing at things. They're limping along right now either hoping that people just suck it up and deal with the disadvantages of the new queue. If not they MIGHT try to tweak things months down the line to improve the solo player experience, but it will be a long time coming and until it happens solo players will be second-class citizens who get less rewards and fight at a disadvantage in every game that a premade shows up in, no matter who's side they're on.

There's nothing wrong with liking Dynamic Queue, the real issue is Riot discarded Solo Queue purely for the sake of promoting DQ which is unfair for players who prefer Solo Queue.

I'm impartial personally. SoloQ to me in the past was merely a roll of the dice. Sometimes I'd get an AFK, sometimes I wouldn't. Sometimes a feeder, sometimes not.

Now it's more like "Hey Arlan want to play some ranked with us?"

"Meh sure"

"Wooo lets goo~"

Of course you're allowed to like it. You're not allowed to like it to the point where you want to keep solo queue removed, though.

A lot of people who like Dynamic, like for the WRONG reasons. I see many people say they like because they can get the roles they want. Thats Champion Select. Something you can easily put into Solo Q.

I like dynamic, I don't feel as though my games are unfair, I usually only queue with one other person so I wouldn't mind either one, I like the pick intent feature and I do like to play in groups of five sometimes, it's how I met captain monk! I made some friends Soloq'ing and we started playing, turns out their really close friends with captain monk, went to the same school and are practically neighbors. Was pretty cool, we don't play often. Now thinking about it this may be what people hate about it, since is master tier skirting with us, but we dont tryhard we always mess around he plays troll things like ap zac and full as Lee sin etc... And he teaches us as we play.

Just played a game where the 4 premades told me not to write or ping, or I get 4 reports. We lost, cuz they were also trolling...
