Rito, your survey has one problem
The first step to not having ADC be mandatory in bot lane is to not call ADC a "position" when you already have marksman listed in the above classes.

Do want them to be mandatory or not? Make up your mind!

Valid Point, they(we) need to stop using the term ADC.
When referring to the position, sure. I think it fine to use the term to refer to ad dps champs since it is an accurate descriptor of a marksman subclass.
Agreed. Some marksman aren't used as ADCs all the time, especially Teemo, and we have other terms like "APC" or "bruiser" to describe champion roles.
I'm just pointing out how silly it is to call the "bot" position "ADC," but the term "ADC" is a useful and simple term to describe a prevalent and specific champion on the enemy team.
It's just when I see the terms "ADC Morde" or "ADC Ziggs" that I tend to roll my eyes a little. It's no big deal, but something I like to chuckle about.
"Bot" is easier to pronounce than ADC though
ADC is a fine term. The issue is that in league, "Attack Damage Carry" is 1:1 with marksmen.
In something like, say, DOTA, ADC can be a ranged attacker, a melee duelist, a 1v5 hypercarry (melee or ranged) or maybe just a burly dude who gets so fed he can cut a swath through your team.
We shouldn't stop using ADC, we should start encouraging ADC to include more classes than ranged marksmen. (And then we can have APCs too)

That's the problem. By virtue of the fact they are calling it ADC, and not bot lane, they are making it very clear how they feel about mages ever being viable going bot. (Or mid or anywhere given their recent shitheaded changes to the class)
In Dota u can take fucking Dazzle and 1v5 if your good enough, you cannot apply league logic to Data logic
Not...really?
Dazzle doesn't scale quite as well nor has the nuke potential of a character like, say, Lion (although it's been a few years since I played). Can Crystal Maiden Carry? Sure. Does it happen often? Not really. Same goes for League: Yeah you can play an ADC Thresh and whip people out of existence but it's not the optimal nor the common occurrence.
I mean, its not about nuke potential. Its about BKB being a thing + his grave + i think it was called assault curriass? The point is in Dota gold leads are a VERY real thing, if your good enough at farming you can get ahead enough to 1v5 as a support. But yah it doesn't work on a normal basis :D
ADC doesn't mean only marksmen. Trynda is an ADC too, just a melee one.
What is this survery?
Can I take it?
ADC is now the official position. Says a lot about Riot's biases there.
I was expecting you to go with it's TOOOOOOO FUCKING LONG xD
WELL THAT TOO
I like that its long tho. I feel like I am actually giving info if its long.
maybe a typo, people always type "bot" in my games, as opposed to "top" and "mid"
We should just be going with adc, b/c calling botlane is just saying anything can go bot lane.
