6.11 PBE Trinity force
Who else agrees that the changes to trinity force in the current PBE 6.11, make EZ extremely buffed and nerfs corki?

I personally don't like the idea of the change. The thought of not having crit on trinity force just sounds terrible.
As a GP main, I'm not digging it. Idk if it's even worth getting tbh. Might just rush IE now. Idk GP itemization already feels wonky as it is.
I've heard some people saying it's a buff on champs like Irelia, Jax, Nasus, etc. My problem here is that, all of those champions can use the crit chance since they have other attack speed items or, in Jax's case, can utilize his passive for attack speed. The thing here is that Jax and Irelia are AUTO ATTACKERS. This gives them a decent chance of scoring that 20% chance to crit much more than other champs that use the item and actually helps them out in a 1v1 scenario. Nasus doesn't need attack speed, but needs cdr. Yes, Tri Force would give more cdr, but at the same time it will make itemization on Nasus more awkward. I just can't really see the justification in building a Tri Force on Nasus anymore, why not just build Iceborn Gauntlet instead? It's cheaper, it gives him armor, cdr, a ton of mana, and a nice passive to boot. Crit is one of the portions of the item that made it decent to build on Nasus. He can actually utilize the crit chance fairly well, but attack speed isn't really the strong suit of the item. It's the 2 good passives and the portion of stats you get from the item. The problem is, little bits of stats aren't worth spending 3733 gold on an item when you can get Iceborn Gauntlet and a Kindlegem for like 200 gold LESS. The crit portion of Tri Force is what made it a decent aggressive item because you have that 20% chance that you do double damage on an auto or a q on Nasus with a sheen proc on top of that damage. As it stands, there aren't many champs that build Tri Force to begin with and I don't think this will help in any way to raise that number.
I think it's a wonderful change but only because it no longer grants unnecessary stats to champions who have no business with them without itemizing specifically for them. Excluding Gangplank all the champions listed (
,
,
) these are supposed to be duelists who represent a massive and consistent threat to anyone they catch. This being said, they all deal a lot of damage as it is, they are REALLY tanky, have massive sustain (excluding
here [if he does not itemize for it (
)]) so do they NEED that random 1.7k critical strike on a
Q with a
proc? I mean to me it's just over kill unless
specifically CHOOSES to trade a bit of his god tier grit and spit for the chance to deal a massive strike with one Q it is simply unfair to the champions who DO have to do so, the same with
and his Q, which is a RANGED (safe) skill which delievers on hit effects and can critically strike. The item simply delivers way too much in one package instead of focusing on a cute little niche like Riot is trying to put items into right now. Instead of an item which can
A. Make you amazing at trades with huge bursts of damage B. Rip down turrets C. provide enough speed to safely avoid ganks
Riot is tuning the A. down a bit by removing the possibility of a huge burst of damage via sheen proc AND a critical strike. Now
will be far more focused on SUSTAINED trades where you can predictably utilize the sheen proc to your advantage and deal more damage via auto attacks.
I believe that Riot is trying to get
into the niche for champions who play like this:
"I want to threaten your tower with my
rush so if you leave lane you will pay, while still maintaining decent farm and threat/burst potential for trades, and the ability to disengage from your tower with my speed boost if I'm getting ganked"
rather than champions who will play like this:
"I'm going to rush
then, when it's built I'm going to blow up in your face, rip down your tower, teleport to or ult bot lane to stop a jungler gank or help my own, push down your second tower or get a triple kill and by the way now have my boots and second item, rift herald buff and now since I've stomped you top lane via my globals or just pushing you out of lane and tearing down your tower I'll focus on mid now, even though your mid lane did well and is 2/0/1 I'm going to go dominate him while you push out that one wave getting close to your inner tower and come back to lane 7/3/0 so will never catch up 'ggez' losers."
The reworked
still provides safety in lane via ms, burst for trades via
, but now you can use the
MORE because your spells are up sooner since you have more cd, and since you have more AS, you are better able to last hit as well. I believe
will become an amazing niche item for many champions now rather than a core item for few and worthless for the rest (almost a reversal of
's change from being amazing on all champions to amazing on a few)
However WAY more importantly, this item has SO MANY build paths which correspond with other very necessary items right now: the
can also instead be turned into a
rush to deal with the armor that
just stacked when he based, the
can be turned into a
instead because you decided to rush
instead and want the on hit effects, the
could instead turn into a
because you're hybrid
or
and you decided that your team needs more AP burst because they stacked armor so you can now just avoid that all together and punish that dirty
for his insolence.
I'm just saying that the new item not only provides a niche but it also provides the possibility for playing mind games with your opponent such as a game with
who almost always rushes
into
, when this change goes through and you rush
and that dirty
backs for a safety item
you can back and be like "SIKE *** now I'm buying
or
" and the item that you paid so dearly for is now that much more worthless.
The same can be done on so many champions in lane, giving so many options to others rather than
rush every game you can now choose based off how the game is developing which build path is the best for the game. Say they grab
when they base instead of
. Now you know hey, this person is going to be playing more aggressively, they're going to be going for kills so instead of that shred from
I want some burst to make them more wary of trading with me. So you build into
.
Apologies and thanks to any who have taken the time to make it through my lengthy rant. I just feel like even though it's a weird change to some champions in the current meta, the change to
is not necessarily either a good or bad thing and I think we will find many new avenues of broken champions who will love the reworked
as much as we do on our.....beloved
in 6.10.
Most importantly I believe that
will FEEL more balanced to play both with and against by providing both a large power spike when completed, but also enough of a weakness that it does not leave one feeling the lane has been lost after its purchase.

Tiger stance godyr just got even better. Now I don't have to hold onto a stinger for the AS till I can buy a Bork outright and can pick up a warrior instead of blood razor for that heavy bleed damage. This was an amazing change in that regard.
There are a ton of Champs that this change really, really hurts. It seems to me this bifurcation in champion play styles necessitates that a new item be introduced foe those crit Champs that want the spell blade proc that has similar stats but swaps out the AS for the crit. That's the item I'd want on nasus. Having a new item made for those crit based or single hit Champs just makes good sense. We have an AP spell blade item, a tank spell blade item, now we have an AS spell blade item, the obvious next step is to keep these changes to triforce and make a 4th spell blade item for crit based Champs and Champs that really rely on one or two big hits in an engagement. We can name it Desolate Cane so all those nasus players can keep shouting about the D cane on their streams and have a good reason for it.
This is the fix that makes everyone happy and allows you to tailor the new item that needs to be made in a way to provide balanced itemization to the people who okay the Champs that would use it.
Didn't read all, but just to clarify: Nasus Q damage can't crit, only the AD part can. Making crit on Nasus nearly useless.
Tristana just got a whole lot easier to use against Yasuo >:)
While the change does hurt AD Crit Tristana (which is the most common build path for her), Hybrid Tristana got a new toy to play with thanks to the CDR and additional Attack Speed. To be honest, I'd probably rather get rework!
instead of
for Hybrid now (since the only thing better on Nashor's Tooth will be the 80 AP and slightly better waveclear, and you can achieve better results adding
or
as well.
