And now........ For a support role advertisement

I want to ask this question after that post on the boards about getting rid of autofill so that you don't get stuck with support and I think that I kinda understand why a lot of people hate support but I don't understand how there are so few people with the support mindset. its a little saddening to think about what our community is rn if we only have a small group of people who are willing to sacrifice their own glory for the glory of the team. As a support main I often have shit scores but my team wins because of the fact that I am smart at the game and I think that is what support is, a smart role. If you are relying on pure mechanics to carry you with 0 game knowledge, go ahead, play adc or mid, but you wont be winning against any smart team regardless of your skill. because smart teams know how to deal with adcs easily. It is on the supports to be smart enough (and yes mechanically sound enough) to peel for the adc during a teamfight. but along with that supports also have the added difficulty of setting up vision for the team (cause nobody else can buy a sightstone right?) and clearing it since a lot of junglers never buy control wards or even get a sweeper. Support literally decides the game. if you have a good (and by good I mean smart) support, the game becomes wayyyyy easier. and the best matches you can play are the matches where both supports know what the fuck they are doing and it is on their teams to duke it out while the two supports have their own little battle over vision. Support is legitimately the role where if one is smarter than the other they can win the whole game for their team by themselves because then you run into all those secnarios where people facecheck bushes or get baited to go to baron or any number of things. Support also often lead the charge in teamfights since the top laner is usually channeling teleport. So for all the people who get autofilled support and think it is a shit role, just give it a shot and instead of just going through the motions and hoping for the game to be over, look at how support works as a role and learn to play it. There are some hype champs to play for support (thresh, bard, nami, and blitz are examples) while also champs for people who aren't as mechanically sound (soraka, janna, braum, leo, and alistar) but they all require you to be smart which makes it so much fun, you actually learn league instead of a role.

At this point I still love playing support.....I really don't mind the low kill score but I wish they'd stop blaming me for not dying with them when they engage in a 1v4 or tower dive at low health..........I mean I have I little issue called COOLDOWN on my abilities I can't just go pop pop pop with healing in the start of the game.

So at some point, even If you never intend to play support, should read up on the abilities of the supports that will be assisting you all the damn time. the idea is to at least know what they can do and how you can use that to your advantage in a team fight.

And after all that stop saying its my fault we always lose and I can't help the occasional KS by accident when you run off and I get a lucky shot so that's that.

May the stars be with you. Soraka
