The mysterious case of C9 Hai

Now I think we have all seen this enough to wonder one thing. WTF MAKES IT SO C9 PLAYS BETTER WITH HAI? and tbh I don't think we will ever know. All that we will ever know is that when he is on the team everyone becomes a mechanical god in their own rights (I mean hell did you see how balls played? this guy was considered the weak link of C9) and know exactly what to do. What I hate though is how people say hai is only there for his shotcalling. If you haven't noticed he plays a pretty dang good alistar. and while yeah that low champ pool could be exploited we don't even have an idea of whether that is the case. I personally could imagine Hai playing something like Leona and wrecking on that as well. There will be people who forever say hai is only good for shotcalling but all of us people who have followed c9 for a while can know the truth

I assume it's because he tells his team to body some fools.

The true story

-Hai is one of the oldest pro vets in this game, giving him YEARS UPON YEARS of both pro play and casual play knowledge -Hai is actually quite mechanically skilled after having YEARS UPON YEARS to perfect his mechanics in both pro and casual play -At one point of time Hai was actually one of the most feared mid laners in the game for no one could match his Zed roams unless it was a korean team -Going further into the korean point, Hai was actually one of the first to mimic the korean play style in both his individual and team play which is what led to C9s success, they decided what the meta was by watching and studying the best.

Nope. Just take the right decision hide possible mechanical shortcomings from Hai mates, because by picking the right fights and the right objectives the mechanics become less of a factor

Hai is a leader. You could honestly do a pretty good case study on C9 in relation to the effects of leadership. Hai's presence in the team boosts his teammates' skill. Koby pretty much explained it in the post game analysis. There is a reason companies/countries/Business/etc hold strong leaders in such high demand, and its because of effects like Hai on C9. And, hes honestly not that weak mechanically. He was weak mechanically Mid lane, but support and jungle hes pretty strong mechanically, just with a weak pool. Its not the end of the world. His shotcalling and leadership skills make up for whatever individual shortcomings he may have.

C9 and Hai is one of the most extreme examples of the effects of a great leader you will probably ever see.

People that believe C9 Hai is only good for shotcalling clearly haven't seen his career, however, I CAN understand why they might think that. Hai's shotcalling is his true strength. His ability to determine plays and fights is outstanding. He has also has a stunning career as a athlete though. Anyone who has watched him long enough might recognize that he and his reactions have slowed slightly though. Hai still plays and strong a fundamentally sound lineup of champions whenever he needs to step up to the plate. While his reactions might not be the same, his ability to predict the enemies moves and kill attempts has never been stronger in my opinion. Those that have only recently joined the League community or never cared to watch Hai only see him in his current state of physical performance, which may seem slower, but they don't recognize that Hai's thought processes are stronger to lead to the same result.

Hai sold his soul to the devil. Part of the agreement was that when he played on a team, everyone around him would play a lot better.

The casters already said it, but Hai is not only a good shotcaller, but he's a fantastic leader. His presence in the team is enough to boost C9's morale, raising their confidence in their mechanical play, and all in all boosts their performance as well. I think Bunny is a decent shotcaller as well as we can see in Gravity's plays on regular split, but Bunny doesn't have that leadership and charisma that Hai has to both control the team in both macro and micro management.

C9 is Hai. Without Hai in the game the team falters because of the players' ego (mainly Jensen and Rush)

I think hai keep everyone jn check his team is super aggressive when they dont need to be and when he plays alistar he can pick and choose aggresion the game against impulse showed rush dieing so many times for no reason. Noone gets into the lcs for just shot calling :) hai is a gifted lcs player
