I think it would be a nice change to lissandra to allow her to protect an ally with her ult and i really don't think it would be overpowered at all. It would be single target unlike kindred or bard, maybe not give them her heal, and is about as strong or maybe stronger than devour but it is an ult. What do you guys think?

Her ulti is unique in the sense that it provides utility and control while still being an extremely offensive skill. Allowing it to become a worse 
ulti would turn Lissandra into something she's not.
Before long, high ELO players would start spamming Liss support or other abusive techniques just because of that small change, and Rito would have to either nerf it to the ground or adjust her role -- and thus weaken her as a mage, which I would hate.
No, imo there's no reason to do that. Just play Tahm, or even better, Kayle. :)

Marthian1 votesShe's not designed as a support. There's few cases where ulting an ally would be better than ulting the enemy.
Afaik the reason why she can use it on herself to begin with is because her kit is short-ranged and it's to help her stay safe while diving the enemy team.

Aezanthya1 votesShe's not supposed to prevent her allies from dying, she's supposed to kill everyone and/or cc. It would be extremely OP on her if she could just give a free damaging, slowing zhonya to one of her ally.
She'll be picked like everytime. Imagine if Kayle had the same amount of cc as Liss. Yeah that'd be pretty broken.
