Sona ARAM

Sona on ARAM is literally broken. I never say champs are broken. Only times I've said this are: Gragas, Ekko, Azir, and Rek'Sai. Sona on ARAM is amazing. I play a lot of Sona when ever I can. Sona's start build is simple on ARAM. and . Once I have these 2 items I can go the entire game without dying once. Every single time I get ARAM I do this. Everytime. They make it so her W doesn't heal others as much on ARAM. SO this means you are healing yourself all the time. I play aggressive as hell start then apssive later. THe only reason I pick up assists is because I can just hit w or e and I get 5 assists. With this ARAM sona build I have yet to die. I am literally undefeated as Sona ARAM with those items!!

I don't know why or how it's broken but if you can play Sona well and you get the chance on ARAM...do it...

She's definitely one of the higher tier ARAM champions, any support excels in that mode, since you can't buy wards and everyone basically just gets all of their gold for free any champion that scales well in terms of utility and has some damage can do really well.

Thats a really nice build on her. I swap lich bane for sight stone though.

There is no Sight stone on ARAM

Summoners rift I build differently, usually something like this item 3069 item 3222 item 3003 item 2045 item 3158 item 2043 item 3364

CDR boots aren't the same on Sona support. Old sona you could 40 cdr face smash. I think that the only way the get a good 40 cdr build is mid sona, which kinda sucks now. Sona support I go item 3092 item 3117 item 2045 item 3222 item 3003 item 3089 . I find that I can swap for item 3100 . Late game I can sell and buy

I used to go item 3117 on Sona back in season 3, but since the change where they drop down to tier 1 movespeed when you get hit I prefer item 3158 for the early CDR boost, especially it I'm stacking item 3070

item 3092 I don't really find is worth it, item 3069 s build path will get you more gold outside laning phase so I usually pick up an item 3301 once it ends, plus it allows you to better escape enemies closing in from multiple angles.

You want to nerf her Aram heal even more?

It's a whopping 15 hp for 80 mana. That's basically a 1/3 of a minion auto.

No no no, never said nerf her! I'm saying she is really really amazing on ARAM because of her kit to this extent! I actually think her E cool down should be buffed!

Not gonna lie.... God do I love ARAM Sona. I mean, she really shines in teamfights and that mode is practically catered to her. Not to mention the lack of ganks she usually suffers from. She doesn't snowball super hard, but she doesn't not snowball either.

The last post from this thread is 2 years ago and this thread is STILL appropriate... Sona in ARAMs is just stupid... There are at 3 champions for ARAMs that should be perma banned because of the nature of the way ARAMs are. Sona, Alistair and Janna. All heal.. All have CC.. AND All are unfair advantages in any ARAM situation. Combine that with some people have ARAM only accounts where these champions as well as few other champions is all thats on the account. Each of these champions are among the cheapest to buy with IP. Recently I played 10 games and 8 out of the 10 games had Sona and she was NOT in the free champion rotation (only once was Sona on my side). In each game the team with Sona won...

I bet if Riot did data analysis they would unquestionably find that teams with Sona in ARAMs have a far greater than 50% win rate regardless of skill, ELO, champion team composition. Just flat out games played with Sona and whether the team with Sona won. Im guessing its around 70% win rate, and quite possibly higher.

Don't you just love it when your team team has Akali, Rek'sai, Le Blanc, Elise, Lee Sin, the whose who of under 40% win rate ARAM champs and the other team has a comp of Sona, Ziggs, Kog Maw, Maokai, and another op monster and inevitably one of them starts typing in how trash you are, get rek'd, etc. And this after you had Sona until somebody dodged, then had Ziggs until somebody dodged and sure enough, the third time, when you all got the low win rate characters, nobody dodged.
