Use early game lane bullies.

Darius Renekton Graves Quinn Illaoi Pantheon VolibearTeemo

All of these do really well VS Nasus in particular.

Whenever he comes to gain stacks, all in him. You may miss one or two CS, but, in the early stages, many of these champions can take away half of his health with one good trade. Eventually, you'll have him too scared to last hit. With champions like Darius and Renekton, you can last hit AND harass at the same time, when you get experienced enough.

Although frequent all-ins will prevent Nasus from farming, do watch minion aggro. If you fight Nasus in the middle of his minion wave, he will win. Try to pull him into yours, use ranged attacks, or be swift with your trades. All of the above excel in at least one of these methods.

Ask for your jungler to gank, if he happens to be pushed up towards you or in the middle of the lane. Outside of summoners, Nasus has no escapes, and is very weak to early ganks.

Never stand in his Spirit Fire when trading. It reduces your armor, and can make even the early ranks of his Q, with few stacks, deal a lot of damage. When he is trying to use Spirit Fire, try to manipulate him into using it on the minion wave, so he'll hard push against you, leaving you safer from his jungler and him vulnerable to yours.

Try your best not to roam. If you use Teleport, or champions with good roaming like Quinn and Pantheon, it can be tempting. But just one roam can give Nasus 50+ stacks, undoing all of your work. Never leave him alone. Only roam when absolutely necessary, or to follow Nasus when he TP's.

Don't take the tower, if you can help it. Taking the tower gives Nasus a big cushion to free farm, since you can't push up for fear of roaming enemies. Save the tower kill until after mid and bot towers are taken, and you need to help objectives mid game.

Teleport is extremely useful late game, but if you really just want to utterly defeat Nasus in lane, Ignite can give you powerful kill potential. It's worth considering on the aforementioned champions who roam well.

Lastly, Rift Herald buff can give you a big advantage in lane. Be careful about killing the tower with it (Just leave when your minions are pushed to the tower), but the stats can help you steamroll a Nasus.

Hope this helps :)

Gnar is also a great counter, Anti-Tank + Amazing Kite + CC (In Mega).

And Gnar isnt just for being a non-mobile source of damage he fits 2 roles.

Gnar is just great and he has recently got a minor buff so.

Use Darius. Start W, and take ignite if you really want to fuck him. When he goes in for a creep, AA him, then use your W as an AA reset, then auto attack the shit out of him and try to get bloodrage. If you do, ignite him, you're almost assured first blood. Push the wave out and try to rush your black cleaver. Kill him whenever he dares to contest farm.

A lot of choices, but I vote riven. Strong early game with no resource required. Can trade favorably and zone him out of farm.

  • shield his q when you all in
  • mobility to dodge his e
  • w does nothing to you since you spam skills to move around and cancel attack animation
  • if nasus teleports you have the mobility to dash up and stun/knockup him, while there's nothing he can do to stop your teleport
  • nasus gets power spike at 6, but so does riven and stronger at it due to all that ad buffing her skills and autos
