Why I wouldn't suggest this game to a friend...

So I guess i'll try to keep it short but the new player experience is so horrible I cannot believe how bad it is compared to other games and I think most of it comes down to the community and how Riot does nothing about it.. So I started leveling a new account (level 20 now) and majority of games and I mean I'd say at least around 70% of the games have someone who is either extremely toxic or completely ints on purpose and I mean literally spam pings everyone elses then runs it down a lane until the game is over. Also the 10-15min queues just for Draft but I would assume Blind would be quicker but god only knows how more toxic Blind pick probably is compared to Draft with how many people probably take someones lane and whatnot and even when I tried Arams I either run into a team full of bots (people leveling accounts to 30 by botting in aram or TT) or people just afking or being toxic because they got into a game with people who are actually new to the game or people who wouldn't trade them a champion that they want.

I have been playing this game since season 4 and when I was new to the game I had a horrible time playing with people I didn't know so I queued with full groups of people that I knew in order to not encounter this problem but back then the experience was not nearly this bad. =/

I know it's kinda weird to say that, but... don't you guys think that it's because League grew so big? Most players interested in MOBA's have played League, and there's not much left of those that never even touched it. So, most new accounts are actually smurfs, because there's not much gamers left that would want to play.

I think if you prove to be adept at the game, the system sorts you into games with other smurfs, and puts new players in with other new players. If not many smurfs are online or you select mid or jgl in a smurf game then I'd expect a long queue. I'm also pretty sure that a lot of low level players int, and if those rules apply to all low level accounts then maybe that's why they get away with it

Smite has new players, Mobile legends even has new players, I know because I've made new accounts on those games recently (don't like smite, too much aoe damage/Mobile legends is actually decent, but whoever gets fed the most just steamrolls the game) so I don't think the population of Moba players is falling

i had 7 friends who i got to play, none of them got past lvl 30 when they started playing norms it was over, one it takes to long to get champs with the blue ess system and also the meta is so screwed up they cant learn anything while getting stomped
