@Riot As an Aatrox main I'm just disappointed with this terrible rework.

Like seriously? You guys take I don't even know how long to do this and this is what you come up with? It's like you took Riven and gave her some new abilities and made them big and aeo and gave him some sustain just from any damage that you do, it's not tied to just auto attacks, it's just anything.

Aatrox is auto attack reliant for most of his damage something not a lot of top laners these days do besides stuff like trynd or yasuo, or if you're good at Irelia to weave in autos. Now he is completely ability reliant and that is something that people who play Aatrox don't really want. If we wanted ANOTHER champion who was ability dependent we would play Renekton Renekton or Riven Riven or Pantheon Pantheon or Fiora Fiora even or Jayce Jayce hell even Wu MonkeyKing or Vi Vi since you gave her buffs to be able to use her E more often. Aatrox fits a small pool of champs that rely a lot on auto attack damage that aren't normally junglers or just straight crit Tryndamere Yasuo .

Lets start with all of the abilites Passive is just straight gone really, Aatrox has now turned into Garen and Kat and Riven for having just cool downs to work with until he finally ults then he gets a revive. This cuts out soooo much of how to play Aatrox and it really kills what was different about him from other champions. On top of that the new passive looks like something that has a 25 second cool down for god's sake -.- and it's not even something you're going to think about unless you're in lane and trying to trade.

Next up is the Q. This is just Riven reskinned right here. Yea you get a knock up every hit but just a tiny portion of the actual ability, it's like they said "oh hey right now Aatrox's knock up is really hard to hit, lets take that and make that the entire ability but make it almost all of his damage" like what? why? On top of that it's a 12 second cooldown when maxed still, you're not going to get anywhere near the damage you got with the current Aatrox.

The W Looks interesting to be honest, but I can't think of how this even has much counter play unless you have a dash or don't care if Aatrox is gonna pull you or not, it happens so fast you can't really get away, but I suppose with full boots you probably could very easily, which means you'll need to CC someone already for this to even work. This ability I'm just pretty unsure about in general.

Now for the E What. The. Fuck. LOOK AT THAT E DASH..... WHAT THE HELL IS THAT that's like if you took Renekton 's E and put both of this new abilities charges together to get just one dash of his e without even hitting minions, like that range is pitiful and not even worth bothering to cast other than to slip over tiny walls like you did in the spotlight. Lets not forget this does no damage so you're just dashing because it's fun or to gap close, and it just buffs you Attack Damage, which is probably the most boring thing you could do with an ability. Talk about hidden power? Cast E and Ult and anywhere from 45 - 85 (possibly more because they haven't shown if the ult gives you more AD per level) AD for free why not.

For the ult This just looks sad and boring. You get more AD, you can move ALOT faster for 1 second(Movement Speed: 120/180/240, this is more than Mobi boots, that sounds like fun counter play) of the 12 seconds this is on (or if you're not in combat because you accidentally pushed R when nobody was around.), and now you've tied the Revive part of his kit to just pressing R instead of having to have some set up done like with his current passive.

Honestly I think I may never play Aatrox again if this rework goes through, this isn't why people play him and honestly I think you're just making him a more brain dead version of Riven with big aoe CC.

It's really not the same because he has no attack speed, he build CDR, you can't split hardly at all. on top of that it feels very much like riven there are way too many similarities and it's sad. You could say the same about Anivia or Zac revive, yea if you're in the same spot people will usually try to kill you, it'd be pretty stupid not to. It depends on the situation as for when you actually get your passive procced but it can be very useful.

But at least this kit does something.

Aatrox's old passive was bad and only helped if he died under his tower, his Q did nothing, his W is to be left on heal and always maxed first then never touched, his E was the actually only good part of his kit, and his ult was just a steroid.

His gameplay involved flying in and auto attacking. Then keep attacking and hope you heal enough to win, then you single handedly carry the game. If not, then you will never catch up and will need to be carried.

This new kit at least gives Aatrox the ability to be more than just a sustain tank, and come back from losing a fight, and not be completely unstoppable if he wins fights.

I agree with everything. I played Aatrox a lot and I was really hyped about the rewrok and honestly expected them to leave the autoattacking playstyle around with focus around his healing/dealing more damage. Watching this reworked Aatrox was like watching a bad first April joke. Everything about his kit has been changed for the worse and the worst part is that it's all just unoriginal (maybe other than W) and his new E is ridiculous.

Now let's talk about his overall image, he had that badass voice and cool lines and you really felt like you played some ancient war demon but now he's like a power ranger villian with voice lines written by the edgy 13 year old.

When I saw the cinematic I was really hopeful. He looked awesome and intimidating even though I didn't like the sword too much but after seeing his in game appearance and spells I was just left dissapointed.

Honestly, probably the worst rework yet. Just for example look how Riot made Warwick and Urgot viable and awesome looking, I was expecting the same thing for Aatrox but screw it.
