Semi-Quick Post - Kindred, I just saw Champion.gg
So after writing that big, thoughtful and redrafted many times post about giving Kindred back a little early game damage, I came back on out of curiosity and saw that with the patches 7.10 and 7.11 Kindred is not just STILL the worst performing jungler, but The Eternal Hunters are actually doing worse, and that's with over a 10% increase in pick rate.
I know how scarred and scared Riot is of this champion. After SO MUCH headache in development, testing and design, all those patch-supports to help and hope that this champion would work turned out to be rogue nukes! Kin's Heal was astonishing to the point of being removed altogether and a lot more.
This new rework with boosting the normal abilities and range is a beautiful concept. My original fears before the rework launch about having both magic and physical damage as a bad thing - I was COMPLETELY WRONG. XD
I love that W is a much more important part - I've gotten kills on near dead enemy champs under a turret while running away, kinda like Thresh's behind the back hook.
But it needs help to get it going. Please Riot, its been 2 years since the Kindred Debacle and while the premiere of the Grim Reaper Pair was fittingly terrifying - no one should find it easy to out hunt and out kill them.
They need something in addition to all this to make the rework, work. A longer q jump to escape or close distances or vault across almost any wall; a tiny bit of max health percent damage in early game, reduced cds, increased base movement speed, even a smaller version of the old heal.
In a new world of tanks and upcoming free runes and powerful masteries, it'll be harder than before - no matter how much these changes might boost The Eternal Hunters, it'll boost their prey too.
and
, theres nothing you can do about it.
