Are there any plans to make champion shards/essence be useful for something other than champions. I feel pretty cheated. bought 5 chest and got all champion shards and i dont even need any more champs

I figure getting champion shard saves me IP, since I can combine 3 of them whenever a new champ comes out and be guaranteed to get that champion, in theory. No more waiting a week for me :D
they did mention something a long time ago about how you will need champion shards to increase the champion level cap to 6 than 7.
I have been discussing this in another thread. Bring as much attention to it as you can because I would like to know also. When you own all of the champions, you may as well be getting an empty chest when a champion shard comes out of it.
It's all random, but you also get champ skins and ward skins as well. Just break them down to essence so you can use those to perma-unlock a skin you want when you get one. However, yeah, if you already have all the champions, I don't think you should get shards for 'em.
