/Remake is garbage

Because my power goes out and I have to wait for my computer to reboot I have to lose the first match of my freaking promos and get put in a lower queue. Is there any sense to this world. I get that people don't want to play a 4v5 and that is a way to keep players from taking unnecessary L's but geez Riot acts like things like power outages can't happen. First game of the freaking day and I have to lose it and be in a lower queue( and don't say I shouldn't be quiiting games like that. You get put in a lower queue if you are remade in ranked) But their are players out there quitting games because they have to go at the 10 minute mark and start a game as soon as their team ff's.

Get a laptop. Problem solved.

Power outages also take down your router. Your laptop might not lose power, but you'll still lose internet connection and be subject to /remakes

I do have a laptop sadly the battery is shot and lasts like 5 minutes and I was unaware that my charger got unplugged just slightly enough to disconnect.

Then stop being a weeb and get a new laptop.

/Remake is amazing. Now I don't have to deal with a game when one of my laner's power goes out. I can just start another, fair game.

I get that. It makes it some what fair but I don't appreciate the unnecessary penalty. i can see if it was set up to penalize if you have done this like three times in a 10 game period but to get flagged after one offense is toxic.

Even if you were only penalized after doing it twice in a ten game set, that one get-out-of-jail-free game where you can DC with no penalty is still abusable.

I don't get the issue. If you don't connect for two games then you suffer no punishment. That's an efficient way to dodge a game for when you fuck up and say for example go jg but forget smite. Two fuck ups in a 10 game period isn't bad I'd say. But that can apply to normal's only. A different more shorter period can be applied to ranks.

Congrats, your sacrifice saved your 4 teammates from having a disadvantageous teammate such as you after 3 minutes.

Nonetheless, I doubt you'd be making this thread if you have an AFK teammate & not being able to remake at all.

Actually I prefer not to remake. For the simple fact that you don't know what the reason why is. Your dog could have unplugged your computer. Your mom could reset the wifi. Most people won't quit a game after picking their champ and getting into the load screen. Odds are if someone didnt connect at the start they will be back in like 5 minutes.

But all of them still adds up to one thing: The match will still start as a disadvantageous 4v5 head start, so remaking will still be worth it. 5 minutes to connect is always a very big risk to the AFK's team.

Catching up isn't hard. Riot has even made changes to make catching up easier. So just because you miss out on a bit of cs doesn't automatically mean you'll lose. Players who don't show up at all are players who cause Defeats. Not the players who didn't notice their laptops weren't charging and had to reconnect.
