i have an idea. what if this was just a normal thing that always happens even if there are minions? wouldnt towers be less fragile than toilet paper then? wouldnt this make the game much less snowballly?

The problem is not everyone wants turtling until late game to be an effective strategy. It makes games take a lot longer and allows the "winning" team to lose the game off of one mistake.

However the amount of damage turrets can take is not the problem, and does not really effect snowballing that much. Snowballing is mostly based on a general lack of opportunities for someone who is behind in certain lanes to catch up without outside assistance. This doesn't effect all levels of play, but the majority of players are effected by it.

The other problem is how much damage the turrets do. Sure, making the turrets tougher will slow things down, but it doesn't make towers a threat. That is what is currently missing; turrets are not a threat for the majority of a match. Even in the level 1-3 range top laners can often take a few accidental tower shots without it completely messing them up. Making towers tougher would definitely be something I'd like, but I'd rather they do more damage to champions first.

yeah, increasing their damage against all units would mess up farming under my tower which I spent like half a season practicing. what if they did increasingly higher damage the closer they are to the tower? then people could actually run to their inner towers, since no champ has high enough AA range to reach beyond the turret's range. some other suggestions: turrets do like 50% more damage to champions turrets deal more damage to targets effected by crowd control turrets deal more damage to champions who have damaged a champ allied to the turret

To be fair I did specifically say increase tower damage against champions.

I do like the CC damage idea though. Makes it easier to defend without making towers take longer to kill. If the damage doesn't end up being a good idea you could make it so CCing a unit changes tower aggro to that unit.

Fuck yeah man, let's make it so that late game champs could easily turtle and scale despite feeding early game and then win purely due to the champion they played.

Playing safe early game? Fuck that shit, my boys at Rito need to hold my hand and help me get to late game as Vayne/Jax/Master Yi/etc. so that I can win games purely based off of the late game scaling of my champ.
