My game vs Camille Top

I've had Camille in my games as both an ally and as an enemy before. About two or three times each, but I really have only laned against a Camille once. I'm only speaking from this one experiance, but as I discovered and learned some things personally interacting with the champ, I do believe the ideas are at least warranted to share and perhaps have a tactic on how to manage and help deal with her.

I was top lane Vi, and as I usually do with her I take Flash/Exhaust when I take her top. I find it really helps in situations I need to bridge the gap between a Q and my Ult and cooldowns, Ex. helps. It helps versus ganks, and is a great self peel tool. I would use Vi's E on melee creeps to make sure I'd blast Camille with the cone of dmg. When she noticed this, I'd just activate E and delay my attack, so she'd back off, but walk back and eat the E anyway. It became my zoning tool.

And when she did come up to trade with her, Vi has her own passive sheild that activates when landing dmg with one of her abilities. Using my E to zone I made it so Camille didn't want to, and did not trade with me frequently , which went in my favor of Vi's passive sheild cooldown. Basically, we each got our own passive sheilds, and CoC to put Camille's advantage down to even feilds.

And when Camille did Hookshot onto a wall to dive into me, I first began using snapcasts of Vi's Q to dodge them. Pressing Q~Q immediately reactivating it for a short but instant dash. This was very effective, I reliably was able to Q out of Camille's hookshot stun almost every time I tried to. But, then I began to experiment, and I began to launch my Q into Camille, and what ended up happening is my Q would connect with Camille in the time between her landing on a wall and her jumping off the wall towards me This resulted in me briefly knocking her back per the Q's nature, and ending her Hookshot attack thus I am not stunned. She also does not get her AS steroid.

And finally, whenever she would ult me (Which I made jokes about not sure if Camille really wants to stick to a Vi) I would simply dig in and go Knuckle to Toe with her, and if I wasn't using my ult to chase her down and kill her, I had it off cooldown to use during Hextech Ultimatum. An added benefit is Assault and Battery provides hidden use in the time between uppercutting the enemy and knocking them back down outside of simple dmg and crown control. The time spent where Vi's Ult is performing, the clock on Hextech Ultimatum counts down, putting me closer to surviving it. It's also giving me precious few momments to get my Q back off cooldown or perhaps to store another E charge.

I won lane against my enemy Camille and handled several Amumu ganks, getting a couple kills off the sad mummy as well. Sadly we lost the game, as the end of mid game and early late came around I couldn't snowball my lead and despite me curb stomping Camille it did nothing to stop her from dumpstering the rest of my team. Which, was already doing poorly the first part of the game

In conclusion, I believe playing champs with dashes that don't require a target ( Xin needs a target to dash to, as does Poppy, Fiora does not for example) Champs with sheilds built into their Kit, and hard CC (Leona, Naut) It can come across as limited options and few champs, but it's alot more then I've heard anyone else offer before besides using Poppy against Camille. But there are other champs that can handle here and I wanted to share some reasons on how and why I think they can. It doesn't mean you won't still lose, but at least you lose to Camille's team and not to Camille herself
