You Should be Able to Search for Champions In Champ Select by their Attributes
As an example, clicking a button labeled "assassins" would bring up LeBlanc.

You can already do that.
Clicking on the assassins button does filter to only show assassins such as LeBlanc.
Caveat: Does not work in the legacy client, so don't use that.
Beta client already has that, it's the buttons at the top, and legacy client has ceased development so it's not going to get it.
