Why are people scared of new things?

Please explain. I try to make new options so people can stop being upset with "so few champions that are good out of all of them". But they rant at me for trying something new... Currently, Yasuo jungle. Why? If it works, its great. If it doesn't, then you can say why it doesn't instead of "its such @#$%". =(

They go into a game wanting people to do what they're used to, so that they can do their thing. If you make them uncomfortable, they don't react well because you're taking away their feeling of control. In ranked anyway, in team builder people seem to expect insanity.

And before you try something, try to figure out whether it has a chance of working. Yasuo is a Yi with less clear and no sustain, pretty easy to tell it isn't going to work.

Because you don't always need to see something in action to realize it isn't optimal, or even a good idea. Yasuo jungle for example. Really the only thing you would have is fast clear times, and that wouldn't be early due to yasuos weak early game. Your objective control would be semi useful at best. Anyone with %health ability can combo with smite steal dragon/baron if they know what they are doing (think Lee/kha/Elise) you have very low gank pressure by yourself. Relying on your q which is a slow projectile with a timer attatched to it. By the time you clear a camp and head to a lane to gank, your q will be half gone. Not to mention all the enemy has to do is back up or delay yasuo reaching them and he will have lost all his gank potential. You would almost have to play someone to wombo his ult just to be effective at ganking. Not to mention if you get behind or get counter jungled you would be absolutely useless. Early game junglers can easily invade and 1v1 yasuo. His build is extremely pigeon holed into prioritizing crit, yet you will need a jungle item for the bonus gold and to attempt to keep up on objective control. Which also delays getting your ie, and ss. leaving you weaker for longer. Basically with low gank pressure, poor objective control, and a weak early game by playing him jungle all you are doing is making it harder for yasuo to get to the point of the game where he actually shines, the late game. All the while not contributing in the ways that are valued by top tier junglers. Doesn't mean people should get pissed, but at least you can see why they would now.
