I just bought a skin and now I have 125 RP sitting on my account. Kinda tempted to get rid of it, and since a chest is all I can buy for that.. I'm wondering whether I should go for it or just save it. Unsure. What'd you do?
It might have a champion shard it might have an ultimate skin, no telling. If you truly do not care about the 125 RP and are prepared to spend full money on the next skin/pass you want then go for it. If you think that getting a Darius shard will ruin your day then don't.
Personally with RP I'd only get Master work chest., but they are a bit more. You could always submit something to Riot and try to get a little RP for the Masterwork chest instead.
I would advise you to get a key instead(unless you have tons)
because keys are always useful. You can easily play 10 games a month to get 4 S ranks and get the 4 chests, but getting all 12 key shards every month is a lot harder, so if you ever don't play much you got an extra key to fall back on.
Then again you could save the RP.
Just save the RP. Eventually, you'll use it to buy something that is discounted or limited.
(I can't imagine anybody ever buying a key when they could just wait... a day? I seem to get one or two fragments every time that I log in... I have way more than I can possibly use. It's true, when leveling a new account, I have a key deficit for a while, but before a year passes the situation is permanently reversed...)
So, in the end, much depends on your own priorities and preferences. Personally, gambling with chests doesn't make a lot of sense to me; the available creative content that I consider desirable is limited. But others have broader needs, surely...
