How am I supposed to win when my teammates refuse to cooperate in this team based game?

Rant incoming.

Yesterday I played a bunch of ranked games. I was Silver 4 and deranked on the last game yesterday. I know I'm not that good (I haven't played League in 8 or 9 months...) and I know I can improve. But how can I win games when my teammates don't want to cooperate, and worse, when they actually WANT to help the enemy team? Yesterday's games had laners that refused to group (they even said so in the chat) and didn't want to help the team at all, some AFK'ed, others stole buffs.... you get the point.

You'd think that people would be inclined to cooperate in a team based game.... but that just doesn't happen. One bad or uncooperative player cripples the team more than a good player boosts his team. It's frustrating knowing that the game was winnable, but it was lost because one teammate just didn't want to be a constructive soul and cooperate.

You aren't. Riot has empowered the shitters in this game will absolutely punish you if you speak out against them.

Get a new team. If it's not a premade, play another game. Sometimes you get bad teammates. But if you're truly better than the rest of the players in your division, you will eventually climb out.

It is pretty simple actually.

Hard carry or lose.

Accept you can't win games where your teammates are specifically sabotaging you.

If you have a top laner who admits to int feeding, just accepts it's probably a loss and don't count it. If you have a mid laner who goes AFK 7 minutes into a game, just accept it's probably a loss and don't count it. If someone admits to trolling, building tears and such, don't count it.

You can't stop these people. What you can do is affect the games where your teams aren't trolling you.
