Riot, YOU ARE GOING THE WRONG WAY
By the way I WILL use hard language because Im mad at what riot is doing sincerely.
Riot, are you braindead? Seriously, I mean it.
I couldnt believe what I read today. So you are retiring Dominion. Ive never seen such a terrible, terrible solution to a problem. Its more, you are not solving it, your are just simply removing it. Its like breaking something and hide it under a carpet. This does not fix anything at all. I do not play Dominion, honestly, but there are some who love it, even if it is the 0.5% or even if it is 0.02% of the playerbase, I dont care. You are alienating a whole fan base out of your game, and I heard there are many made gamemodes implying that map, for example (im not sure though) Hide and Seek. Doing this is just retarded
Honestly this is getting over my head. I feel like Riot is doing a LOT of things wrong. I wont say each one, because its quite a lot. Im getting BORED of the game, and ive played it for like 2-3 years, cant remember. And I never got bored back then, but why now? Why not before? Simple, you are doing something wrong, you are going the wrong way. Thats just my opinion, and its just sad, you have such rich art in this game and its probably one of the only things that glues me to the game. But that glue is slowly wearing off.
Please read this, wont help much, but I feel like theres something not clicking.
TL;DR: About dominion, riot: Fuck you.
The next thing is sort of separate, its kinda confusing as well, its not so important (this goes without saying but) you dont have to read it.
Theres something that has been bothering me for quite some time, and maybe its not right for me to say so, but I will. Just because I have the right to speak freely. Here goes nothing: when i see Leagues community I see two pieces of the whole pie: Casual players (not sure but like 90% of the players or so) and Competitive players (pros; those who ONLY play ranked to climb, 10%? or less?). I see great differences between these two groups. One plays only to have fun, the other one plays to climb, some few make a living of it. Casual players look for fun ways to play (ex: something like AD Anivia or... idk what other example to put). Competitive players look for ways to "exploit" the games features, I mean, identify and utilize effectively things like the best: champions, team comps, items, (meta) to look for the best formula in order to solve a problem which is beating the opposing team. So Casual players are more creative and fun whilst Competitive players are more mechanical and well, competitive. Theres a third group in this big community and that is Riot. Riot is the one who acts between and delivers the changes to the game. Each change of the game will make both groups react in some way and changes are always tilted to either side (I mean, changes are either meant for competitive players or casual players, even accidentally). Lately, and maybe thats because its a new Season, I feel like changes are more meant for competitive players. I feel like the last change that was more inclined to Casual players was the Mordekaiser rework and perhaps The Kindred (both creative and break the meta) and that was 5.20ish patch, some time ago . Nowadays, I FEEL that changes are inclined to the competitive players, and these changes, satisfies them (sort of) but bores the Casual players. Changes that force the meta, examples to this i have many: Removing Occult Blade (no more crazy Full ADs, i feel you uber), Kog Maw rework (killed AP mid Kog Maw, still strong but not as before), Miss Fortune rework (havent seen AP MF in a while). Many "unfitting" scales have been removed from many champions, I mean, for example: AP scaling on a champion that the meta suggests that are AD (like Miss Fortunes ult) or vice versa.
These are close examples, however if we go back a long time ago (4, 5 or 6 years ago), we realize that LoL has changed a hell lot. Back then you could grab any champion or almost any, and build him however way you wanted. The both most differenciated stats were AD and AP, then you had others like Tank builds or supporty kind of builds. Im gonna focus on AP and AD, most champions had both scalings in their abilities (most abilites would have of one type of scaling or two, but there were some that would sort of defy the kit by having an alien scaling in relation with the other abilities, ex: AP scaling in MFs Ult and E) , you were meant to play the champion in whichever way you wanted. Most of those scalings are now gone. They were taken away as the Meta formed back in Season 1, this is what started to make the game feel more "boring" in some way.
So the game is changing a lot, turning less fun (strictly my opinion) as Riot is sort of forcing the meta most of the times, and seldom breaks it. And I know that I could play normals (I do) and break the meta there just because its normals, but even in normals people do not want to do crazy stuff and builds. Not anymore. That saddens me and bores me, which brings more depression about the games state. And as a plus they are removing game modes. Its all killing it honestly.
Sorry for the confusion in the last part, if you didnt understand much its ok. I was very messy with it, just wanted to express it somewhere.
