WARNING THIS IS MY OWN OPINION, Please dont spam hate

So I don't get why people hate the "new league" so much. I like it more personally because it reminds me more of a sport abusing the best stuff in the game. So many players quit because "its not fun". League of legends isnt suppose to be fun, its a game that is consisted with 50% winrate. If you REALLY want to have fun, play with AI's in other games. Because you will always win against easy bots. Stop complaining that league is changing in a bad direction. I mean yes maybe Zoe was a bit too much or the redemption meta.

No one is even restricting you to play meta, I mean you can be at any ranks and still play non meta. If you are a silver full ap nunu support main that could be equal to a Janna platinum. There exist a meta, but it doesnt MEAN that you need to follow it. When it comes to skins its neutral that RIOT would want to create new skins in the most popular champions because they need to earn money, which is driving their motivation to own league of legends and own it.

I know theres alot of problems in the game such as toxcity, its honestly stupid alltogether but what do you really expect in a team game where one person can mess up the whole game. RIOT has tried their best to prevent toxcity ingame. We have a mute function for a reason. Trolling is an another problem but there are always people who will let you down. If you look at like this, theres a 50% chance that you will have afk or troller or rage quitter, but that also applies to the enemy team.

All the youtubers quitting league because "its boring", well thats great because if you are only looking for fun go to a game somewhere else with no competetiveness. Like in a game full of bots. LEAGUE is NOT supposed to be a game, its a sport accept it. I look at league as soccer match, theres alot of people that dont like soccer which is understandable. League of legends was not made for gamers, it was made for special kind of people that cant be defined. gamers are only looking for fun but the league gamers are trying to be better than the others.

Im too lazy to write more because i am literally in exams writing this. But those were my main points, please rant about it i want to hear what this community thinks of this.

Sports today would not exist if people did not find them fun or interesting.

People don’t like change, people don’t like the changes, people have fond memories of the old game and what it brought, pleothora of other reasons.

If you are having fun, have fun and ignore what others say.

Sometimes this is the reason why I don't have fun playing the game. There is some point when you get more experienced and trained in the game, gather knowledge and get better at everything, where the game stops being a game and starts becoming (e-)sports. I think there are different approaches of how players approach league of legends (e.g. game vs. sports) and every of these approaches has different reasons of what makes it unfun. It is literally impossible to design the game around all the different approaches which could be the reason why so many players feel unheared when changes are made that don't fit there approach.

You don't have to win in a game for it to be fun. Conversely, there are games you can win at and be bored to death with. Besides, to my knowledge targeting a 50% win rate has been here since the game started, it hasn't been a problem before and I'm not convinced it's a problem now.

  • Point: Fun lies in aspects that aren't always winning

There's at least a perception that the gap between doing well on non-meta champs and doing well on meta champions has grown. You put in more effort for less reward, and you feel even more burned when Riot says "no skins for that champion you're struggling so hard to master, not for 3 or 4 years." Making 2-3 skins per patch (on par with recent patches) they can give every champion a skin every 2 years. Put another way, shouldn't everyone be able to see their champion get more than 1 skin before they get tired of the game?

  • Point: non-meta players feel punished by Riot for playing Riot's game

so here is somthing. rito says you cant be banned for not playing the meta, but you can be banned by not communicating. so here is the catch, your teammates want you to play meta and normal thinks otherwise they report you and you get banned for not communicating with your team. but if you look at it the other way that means that you can get banned for playing off meta.

and btw youre tilting me by saying lol isnt ment to be fun. LOL is a compative game if you got to RANK. but if you want to play normals you shouldnt be restricted to playing nunu tank only. LOL is made to have fun yea maybe if you want to be a pro its a diffrent story

Because it actually USED to be a good game before riot sold their playerbase for the LC$ money.

The most vocal haters are ones that play several hours a day, typically with a ranked focus. They've made the game part of their life and how they value themselves, so changes make them super angry. It's changed from a game to a lifestyle choice for them which is why when they reach their limit they vocally and violently reject it. The solution is to play casually and spread out your library - League still has its own magic to me after five years playing because I have other games.

I don't hate the game it is just extremely stale.

Snowbally games because of imbalanced runes is not fun for either side. The amount of times I just 1 shot people walking up to a bush is just pathetic. I really feel like I'm playing call of duty sometimes.
