Does anyone know exactly how dodging effects placements?

Decided to mess around in flex. Started plat 4 went:

L-W-D-W-W-W-L-W-L-W-D-L and got placed into plat 5. Expected it to be lower if dodging actually mattered.

Anyone willing to test flex placements to see if dodging actually hurts them? The general consensus seemed to be that dodges counted as losses in placements but I'm not sure that is 100% the case and would be interesting to know for when I start solo queue on my main.
