Sylas looks like a lazy mashup of champs.

Now his passive and E are basically Riven's but better. After an ability you get an empowered auto (but it's AOE wow how different). His Q is a harder-to-dodge version of Viktor's Q that ends up as 120% AP scaling if both hits land. His W is basically the equivalent to a stacked Nasus Q -> a single-hit ability that does loads of damage and heals a lot, nothing else. Now his E IS DAMN TRIGGERING. So Riven has a low CD shield that scales 100% with AD. Sylas's E is the same cooldown as Rank 1 Riven E, but scales 90% with AP. It's a longer cooldown, but it's way stronger. That balances it out right?

BUT THEN THE DESIGN TEAM WENT CERTAINLYT SYNDROME AND THREW ON ANOTHER ABILITY ON THE ABILITY THAT JUST LOOKS REALLY RANDOM. A Kled hook but even better. I don't really wanna talk about that ult too much, I think everybody knows how disgusting it is. Taking summoner spells on Zoe, taking appearances as Neeko, but now just straight up taking enemy ults? Riot's design team seems WAY too lazy.

Now I'm sure that Sylas will be balanced (maybe) but the design team seems to have CertainlyT syndrome in the way they just throw random stuff on, especially the way they throw multiple abilities on one ability, and take abilities from other champs and make it better. Like, look at Zoe's W. It sends out 3 lil sparkly whatevers at people, just like Ahri's W. It already has higher damage BUT ON TOP OF THAT there's a movespeed buff AND ON TOP OF THAT there's free summoner spells AND FOR SOME REASON FREE REDEMPTIONS. Well now Sylas E is basically 'let's take Riven's E, make it stronger, BUT ON TOP OF THAT LET'S THROW ON ANOTHER ABILITY BECAUSE WE CAN'.

Champs don't need to be overloaded, THEY DON'T NEED EVERYTHING. This guy doesn't need good poke AND godly sustain AND a soft and hard CC AND a dash AND a huge shield AND AOE damage AND any ult to fit the situation. Just a couple of those would be fine.

Now that was one heck of a rant. I like his promo video and I think he's pretty cool but come on, these abilities are so lazy.
