How to be more aggressive?

I main Ahri mid, and secondary Tryndamere top (I also play Lux, Orianna, and Nasus). I commonly will gain a huge lead, and do really well, but still end up losing. For example, as Ahri I was 6/0/4, but ended the game 10/4/10 and lost really bad, because I was the only competent one on my team. Now normally, my team isn't completely full of retards, and there's at least one other person who's okay, but then it seems like a 50/50 chance of winning. It's not like the enemy team has anyone who's really good, so I was confused as to why I couldn't carry.

In said Ahri game, the enemy Sona said I was really good but that I needed to be more aggressive. After giving some though, I did some research into higher elo players thoughts on play making and how to carry, and decided I needed to be more aggressive overall.

Normally, I play it safe and just harass until my enemy makes a mistake then I punish them (normally by killing them). This gives me a huge lead, but doesn't do much as far as the overall game plan. Once I get this lead, how can I be more aggressive and ensure that my team can finish? Thank you for your time!

(Oh, and if it matters, I'm Bronze. Currently Bronze 3, about to hit Bronze 2. I'm climbing, but it would be faster if I were better at carrying.)

well when i play mid, i like to play mother fuckers who can carry games hard as fuck. So what u do mid depends on the time of game ur champ what item u have etc... like I could possibly force my enemy to back or kill them then push the minions into the turret... at this point look at bot or top and see if theres some kind of magic u could perform. if u can make magic you should do it. otherwise, its good to back and get ludens echo or some other boss ass item then come back and kill ur lane and the jg when he ganks you then back then buy some more then look for a gank opportunity or push down mid tower and get that fb and back and spend ur money then go push mid again and then go push bot and top outers and get drags and rift herald etc hide in the enemy jg bush and kill people u think will come to red or blue buff but make sure u have oracle or a pink to check ur bush isnt warded then u need to get everyone to group and tell them what they need to do to win the teamfight or if someone who got shit on in lane should just go split bot while the rest go top cuz its close to baron etc... you know just keep swimming and learning if u play good every game you'll climb eventually.

You don't REEAALLLYYYY need to be more aggressive. As Sky Williams said, playing like a bitch gets you wins until you get rather high up in this game. What's probably happening is you get so caught up in catching people's mistakes that you neglect important objectives. If you don't exert your pressure and presence and secure objectives, you're slowly throwing the game. Push the lead.
