As an immobile mage

Am I just suppose to sit there and get dicked on by Kassadin? Seeing as TF is my only mid laner that I play, honestly how do I play against this? Is there any secret to beating this guy in lane? Aside from freezing lane in front of my tower and begging for jungle ganks, ofc.

His pre 6 is legitimate garbage. Dumpster him levels 1 - 5. He is an anti mage so he is supposed to be good vs mages later. He has tons of mobility and you have none so he naturally counters you.

Kassadin should stomp TF tbh

Use your ult to snowball lanes. Max Q and blue card Q spam the wave to shove him under then roam after 6. No reason to stay in lane with him at that point

I'd love to dumpster him lvls 1-5... but his q negates a lot of my damage I can do to him. What should I do to by pass this? Go ham on him after he q's a wave? Is it better to shove him in and roam instead since I have close to 0 kill pressure on him? I've always struggled with the tf vs kass matchup. Seems pretty impossible.

Just auto attack him and force the wave up with red card and Q. Then roam with your ult at level 6. I do recommend expanding your pool of champions though. Or if the Kassadin is the first pick just choose pantheon into him and ruin his game.

Doesn't Zed shit on Kassadin pretty easily?

Zed does but he does require some practice especially as the game goes on and Kass grabs a Zhonyas. Pantheon on the other hand literally is the easiest counter to Kass. You just keep using Q on him then just jump him E and ignite and you can easily kill him. If kass tries to fight you your passive blocks his W and the Lich bane activation which is actually the bulk of his damage.

One tricks do tend to have issues with hard counters. Either learn a counter specifically to him or just do what most mids do when their lane sucks; shove and roam
