We get it. You want money, and Esports is your new baby. We're old hat.

I understand that, to line your pockets with even more fat stacks of cash, you need to appeal to your new esports demographic of ignorant spectators that don't need to understand the game to give you money. But this is a GAME. It should be FUN. Here's a list of things to fix that will probably make esports less popular but make the game actually fun.

Remove autofill. It's on most of the time, and it just makes people play worse overall. I'd rather wait for a game with people in the roles they choose.

In your old design philosophy, you defined "overpowered" as "an option so strong that it would be a detriment not to choose it." Everyone has Flash at all times. That's pretty overpowered. Replace it with Hexflash if you need to. Just please remove or nerf it.

Damage values are out of control. Tanking and supporting are suffering. Re-tune all damage focused champions to be either DPS or Burst, but not both simultaneously. Make Burst good at poking and potshots, make DPS good at sustained damage requiring positioning. Overall, make instant death level damage very rare and AVOIDABLE.

Remove instant or targeted disables. Remove targeted nukes. High impact abilities should always be skillshots of some kind. Veigar's ult, for instance, is never fun to be hit by. Being demolished in a game of skill should be fun and engaging, not make you feel totally helpless and doomed. Hell, this might even make the game more fun to watch. Instead of seeing Annie walk around, and then a giant bear appears in the enemy team while they all stand around stunned, the game should give the crowd some buildup (and the players some actual telegraphing) to help out with hype and game balance simultaneously.

Fix assassins to be more tricky and elusive rather than outright destructive. I'd like to see dashes and blinks more considered an "assassin" thing rather than an "everyone" thing. Why does Urgot get a dash? Why does Galio get a charge? Why? Anyone except assassins and sometimes magic champions should only be able to boost their movement speed. This would help to fix the mobility creep.

I can count the number of abilities that punish mobility on one hand. Here, I'll list them: Azir's R, Poppy's W, Taliyah's E, and that's pretty much it. I can't believe hard mobility like dashes has so few checks. While I'd imagine mobility-punishing moves will be pretty niche, I could see Grounded being spread around a bit more. Currently only Cassiopeia uses this effect, and it's on her worst ability. The one that was ruined. Y'know, her Miasma. The one that only takes effect and damages as long as the enemy is in the AoE, and doesn't linger at all. The one that has a minimum cast range. That one. Give Grounded to more champions. Hey, why not put it on Singed's glue?

After fixing all these issues, you should have a much easier time balancing characters on an individual basis and keeping your playerbase happy.

I feel that if they did everything you said it would make Esports more fun to watch, mobility grossly stronger in lane phase, and adcs would reign as the absolute decider of matches. Dashes to close distance on threats are needed by any champion whos threat requires them to be in range. Also you forgot veigars event horizon turns dashes into stuns.

Grounded spreading around more kits would be nice and its the one thing I agree with you on.

Games are a very fickle business. Ignore the player base at your own risk.

Instead of just removing autofill, let's go back to using pick order to decide who gets what position. That way you either learn all five positions or are simply screwed more often than you are now by autofill.

Damn kids these days.
