Well, I don't think you know what "Oppressive" stands for until you are forced to lane as Garen against a Kalista.

Honestly if there's a Kalista in top lane and they aren't running a tank mid or some crazy shit then you're probably still coming out ahead once teamfighting starts.

It generally the same as throwing any sort of ADC as a pseudo-assassin top lane. Tossing vayne and, especially, quinn top lane is a good tactic in terms of shutting their top lane entirely down. They can't farm, don't get exp or gold, and go on tilt very quickly evening the game to a 5 v 4. It's not just Kalista, it's a play that goes all in before the first hand is dealt.

Ranged vs Melee is crappy for the melee. Like 9 times out of 10 that's the case regardless of matchup.
